  1. I would not worry if a guide service is using multiple boats/guides. they all share there info,bait colors etc. the job is to be pleasant,well groomed and put you onto fish.giving a great experience is why they stay in business..i wouldn't hesitate at the opportunity 1 bit.
  2. check out handlebarz. I know they are there. great folks to hook up with. you wont regret it.
  3. handlebarz offers multi boat trips if folks don't know.. and fun hands on fishing.
  4. get ahold of mike parker,handlebarz, or pond predator nick obermok. both very qualified,and reasonable..
  5. we paint every day. theres different apps for different baits. plastic, metal or wood..just make sure when your painting the paints will play well. lacquer base paints will ruin enamels.

  7. thanks for the new details.on quota..i do agree inland lakes can be hurt real fast on over fishing.
  8. pull up the harvest numbers for l. erie. if you can get them it should show. . I would like to see if the changes were made on mnr quota.. never the less I feel keeping some walleyes wont affect the population.
  9. one fact to look at. in the great lakes where commercial netting is allowed. commercial netters receive 99.06 per-cent of harvested quota. .. sportfishing is allowed 0.04 per-cent angling rod/reel..keeping 6 walleye or 50 perch,is factored into mnr biologist studies...a brief note. sportsfishing has never achieve.d the 0.04 per-cent harvest..
  10. lol. hurricane hazel. ironmaker we grew up in a different world...as for guys looking for a hot bite. if you just don't go out and try its like internet fishing. .shoulda been here yesterday. they were jumpin in the boat.
  11. here on l.st clair smaller lures actually catch more fish. 6 inch baits till fall time.. the theory bigger is better is not always the case.

  15. . that's the lowest form of corruption I have ever seen. bodily function tax.gotta pay tax on toilet paper. so we pay for it going in and out.
  16. some friends did very well this rnin. Saturdays a wash boyz. do honey do..rememember if your a troller slow it down with bigger baits 10 inch chewies are doing very well .,brownsand gold split orange belly.
  17. gin cxlear waters no good at belle r. stained is best for bait and musky.. if your stuk in clean water fish 1 hour before daylight and after. watch for gulls on the shad. muskies are there.
  18. some guys did very well on some big fish t-day. the lakes still producing.,slo up and bigger baits.
  19. watch the weather. mother nature will chart your course.if you can get into the lake,theres lotsa eating yellow perch,bass and a few walleyes. the thames is a zoo. everyone with a baitcasters throwing giant rubber creatures. wear hard hat safety glasses and steeltoe boots. lol. once again venture out and enjoy the lake,if mother nature allows . or try Detroit river. it offers far more then the thames area. smallies,walleyes,perch and musky..if you head west to d.river I can offer assistance to have a fun day.

  21. wow. sunday was family day. stores closed. churc.h was attended..i remember 1.25 hour wage. unloading boxcars of lumber.. paid in a brwn envelope..then the hippie days. long hair. got none now. levis orange tag 10 bucks.. 260 Sunoco gas 43 cents a gallon.. trudeau came in lowered drinkin age. mmmmm beer. 15 cents a draft.. yep them were the days of good times.
  22. clean plumbers lead melts fast. scoop the slag off. we use propane tocrh,s and ladles. your system is awesome. just remember,with the lee pots and others clean lead or clogs will come.my friend pours 5000lbs a season. that his greatest problem. tire weights suck lol.. your project looks sweet..
  23. no prep. just make sure leads very hot. with the diagram shown,it will never move..we pour every day.
