Yes it's funny, have a laugh, I can take it. What Dave mentioned is pretty accurate though, and not just small town Midwest. Most of the violence occurs in US cities. Your example primarily centres on Europe, and they are no strangers to violence. I wouldn't trade american domestic issues for those faced in Europe for a second. You and I aren't likely to see a tank rolling through our neighbourhoods any time soon. There is a distinct possibility that could happen over there in the next few years. Anyway , I concede defeat to wikepidea statistics, but I stand by what I said, because I believe if we had the same population as the US, with similar levels of poverty and the drugs and crime they have, I'm guessing we'd be in the same boat. Everyone likes to crap all over the US, but they sure turn to them pretty quick when they need a hand.
-
You realize that the majority of them have populations that aren't even touching on that of the US? Anyway, we'll have to just disagree here.
-
What first world countries are you referring too?
-
If we multiplied our population by almost ten, you would see many of the same issues as in the USA. It would be hugely significant. We live in a pretty sweet little bubble here. Enjoy it, but don't be so quick to judge the issues other countries face within their borders.

17 series diawa line counter. The accudepth is cheap and works well. I have the 20 series okuma convector, but I don't like it as well. I also recently bought garcia silver max reels for my bottom bouncer rods, and they are pretty cheap and effective and they have a flipping switch for letting out line one handed. Not bad for casting either. I'm using powerpro metered line on them so I can use them for pulling cranks with some repeatability. It not quite the same as a line counter, but it works ok.

What do you all think would happen here if we had a population of 320 million people instead of 35 million give or take for roughly the same land mass? Don't get too high on your horse , it hurts when you fall off.

Boating and Trailering Safety Do's and Dont's

While I do carry a torch in my boat box, I have had many bearing failures at roadside due to many miles trailered, poor maintenance in my youth and generally crappy trailers on duck boats and the like. And in all the failures I've had, I've only had one race seized on the spindle. And that's why I have a torch in my boat box LOL. I also am a lot more dilligent with my maintenance these days. -
No law against shooting ducks on the water, but it's not very sporting. You can't shoot from a moving boat if it has a motor. Engine stopped, all forward motion ceased. You must however make all attempts reasonable to recovered a wounded bird, and under those circumstances only you can give chase in order to finish a cripple. You can most certainly use manual power to scull or sneak on ducks with a paddle driven craft, and you can also use the current in a river to drift downstream and still legally harvest birds.

You guys realize these polls are skewed to the leanings of the poling company. None of them are accurate and a true representation of the vote. They are to easy to manipulate . Threehundredeight has the Cons advancing in the polls also. I'll believe it on election night and not before. The polls are just designed to make supporters feel good, and to try an manipulate the undecided to back a winner. Don't be taken in.

I had mine welded up out of 1 inch tubing. They work great, I also had eyelets welded on each end for ratchet straps.

People born here, or who have taken the time to become citizens have a right to a different point of view without being told to move to another country. I don't subscribe to the "everyone should carry a gun" movement, but they have a right to their opinion and it's not up to you or me to tell them to get out.

Make sure your tire iron fits the lugs on your trailer. Carry a spare bearing kit and tools, rubber gloves, a headlamp and some hub grease and heavy duty hand cleaner as well as paper towel and some crappy rags. -
While obviously there are some shops that charge less for oil changes, in my neck of the woods it's at least $100 last I checked for synthetic oil change. I buy in quantity when I find a good sale and come in at way less per oil change. While a dealer is not required for service of an on warranty vehicle, I've found it removes all wiggle room from the dealer when a warranty issue comes to light. To each their own. It doesn't matter to me if folks want to pay through the nose for things, but not me!

No thanks pal!

I don't really understand where your coming from. I certainly haven't been living in fear for the last ten years, and my outlook is pretty good. Overall I don't feel that any of the other parties can offer better than what has been. The current government has done some of what I wanted them to achieve. They've also done some things I don't support. That happens with all governments. I never lambast people online for how they vote. You want to vote ndp, fill your boots, liberal, have atter, dope party why not. Your not going to change the minds of decided voters by trying to make them feel fearful and regressive, and it's unlikely to work on the undecided either. Make your opinions known, and let everyone else fill in the blanks as they please!

For sure Brian, sometimes it's worth it to pay, but I run all synthetic in my off warranty vehicles, and by the time I pay a dealership to do that, I can do it for half the money at home.
-
I'm the sole support in our household with 3 children. My time is pretty valuable, but I gave up paying for frills a long time ago. Skipping the frills and doing the simple jobs that people try to charge me an arm and a leg for has put a lot of cash towards something I'd rather pay for. For example recreational programs for my kids, or you know, fishing!
-
Cash grab. No dealer has ever touched anything other than an oil filter on any of my vehicles , and when they are off warranty then I do the oil filters as well. Any filter can be purchased at CT or online for peanuts compared to the dealership. Same with windshield wipers, go to costco. The whole waiting room thing is just to try and shame you into agreeing to the $90 filter in front of other people, god knows you wouldn't want a dirty cabin filter.

Hey man, you draw penis, or whatever appendages you like.... Me, I'm going green, and I don't mean green party. Down with the man, screw the police, up the proletariate, we are the 99 percent, I'm voting for doobies. Oh wait a sec, maybe I'll just vote for good old Lego head and the conservatives again!
-
Don't forget the illuminati, the masons and the new world order. Now where is my tin foil hat?
-
Why not just vote for the marijuana party? Anyone can draw a penis, but a vote for dope is a vote for freedom, and a finger poke in the eye to law enforcement all in one shot!

2 Top Bass tourney competitors caught red-handed
porkpie replied to big guy's topic in General Discussion
I think there is a small segment of tournament anglers who do lots to promote the sport of fishing and certainly there are side benefits to some communities and some youth groups etc. I don't think there is any real benefit to having 100 bass boats ripping around a lake all weekend though. I don't think the majority of the "tournament pros" do much for the fishery. I'd call most of them wanna be pros to be frank. There are very very few real "pros" in Canada who actually make a living at the sport, and those few that do have have a finger in a lot of pies, not just tournaments. A lot of those bigger names do actually spend quite a bit of time doing special events, working with kids, and promoting the fishery and they have my respect. But a dude with a bass boat and an ego just gives me gas. As for the cheating, well it happens in lots of sports, that's the nature of man. I can't say I love tournaments, but I'm not against competition so I can't see why the fishermen can't have them. At least these guys got drummed out, and it will likely be quite a while now before someone try's again considering how these dudes got hammered by the court of social media. -
Can't decline a vote federally and have it counted.

That is a great deal. Do it!!! Wave wackers retail for $300 or so starting. Huge savings and shouldn't be hard to do.

I'd take a starcraft as well. I have owned 3 Lunds, 2 used including my current one, and one new one. They've all been really good although at 16 years old, I'm going to have to replace a piece of flooring in the Rebel 16SC i'm running right now. I think thats pretty fair as the rest of the boat is tight and doesn't leak, although its sporting a fair bit of dock rash, no big deal. My 14 footer is a starcraft SF14 and it is a solid little craft that I was doing everything out of before, but now just hunting and smaller waterbodies, can't compare it to its bigger brothers, but quality is still there. The new starcrafts that I've seen make me drool, and If I was spending 25-35k on a new boat, I'd likely buy one and be done with it. I'm not a bass fisherman, so thats not an issue.
