  2. Tons of the buggers here in da North EH!!! One year one got hit by a car downtown. Have seen herds of them while out ice fishing.
  3. Yes, fill until it starts to just squeeze out. I usually turn my steering all the way so that the shaft is all the way in. After filling work back and forth a few times.
  4. Still that way where I fish. Under 40" MEH. Over 40"
  5. I finally put the boat away, pulled out the sled and gassed up the snowblower this morning.
  6. We may well have safe ice by next weekend here. We already have ice, just needs to thicken up some. Gettin' frosty this week. 😁
  7. HMMMM, wonder if we can talk him into a uniform again? 😜 https://www.bardown.com/doug-gilmour-is-returning-to-toronto-and-leafs-fans-are-pumped-1.1390886?fbclid=IwAR0LP7mxeV6qRFwwaQQH5j0xLEdLcgu26eQ-esaKuj0noDb5dX5Z7S3kIp4
  8. I find them too bulky as well. Much better suited to boat fishing than wading.
  9. Anyone watch the Florida/Colorado game last night? T'was a good tilt!!! Fights, crushing hits, goals, OT everything a good hockey game needs.
  10. You're not wrong. I posted this last Sunday. https://www.hockeyfeed.com/nhl-news/mike-babcock-calls-out-his-own-roster-when-asked-about-the-hit-on-auston-matthews?fbclid=IwAR3oRR44LiF9kUUjqN_v975eCxjYCXal6jDYzGNhWX5zADT5G7sJD1vw42g
  11. I was super impressed with my Fisher early on. A few years after I got it I wanted to paint and re carpet it to match my truck. When I dove into the job I was surprised to find the floor and all the stringers were aluminium. The only wood on the entire boat was the core of the transom and 2 pieces of teak trim one to mount the TM on and one at the stern of the boat. As I had it completely stripped I could see how well it was put together as well.
  12. The stabilizing keeps varnish from forming and plugging up the small venturis in your carbs or fuel injectors.
  13. Yes I did Bill. The expensive part was having new gussets made as well as a stiffening plate to bolster the transom as I had to cut the top off in order to remove the wood. The gussets failed after years of torque and vibration metal fatigued the ears that bolted to the transom and the transom started to sag away from the boat. I had them made of stainless as it's much stronger. I had a 1/4" plate that sits between the gussets and transom and wraps over the top. All sealed with liquid urethane and 3M 4200.
  14. Did my transom this past spring. Not a job I want to do too often. The last one survived 28 years and I bet mine lasts longer than that so I should be good til I die!!!!! 😜
  15. Nice to see the lads showing a bit of grit tonight. Maybe they heard Babs' comment the other day.
  16. I run stabilizer all year long. In the fall, I check the lower unit oil, replace engine oil and filter and remove the spark plugs and spray a bit of fogging fluid in each hole. Turn the engine over with plugs removed to spread the fogging fluid around and put the plugs back in. Put the cover on and fire up the snowmobile!!!!
  17. Wasn't me or mine. Clipped it from the paper when it was posted. I wouldn't eat the fish out of this lake as they are very wormy. There is a power plant on the lake and the water temps are warmer than other lakes around because of it. The warm water grows fish fast but wormy.
  18. FYI, this little only has whitefish and little pike like this one in it. 😜
  19. What's that, that I spy with my little eye?

  21. I bought my boat from Legend back in 1991. The hull is a Fisher on my particular boat and has been a good boat over the years. I did upgrade the motor when I purchased it and back in 2013 upgraded to a bigger 4 stroke. If I had to buy a new boat today to replace it I would most likely get a Crestliner. If I was looking for an upgrade from what I have I would likely get a Kingfisher with hard top. But I haven't won the lottery yet soooooooooooo................................................................
  22. I totally suck at caulking too. Am in the middle of caulking the exterior of my cabin I'm building. Tried freehand high up on the back wall and instantly gave up. Now I use tape!!! Lots and lots of tape to frame my bead. Takes a lot more time but my beads are looking mint now.
