you make a rod holder on the front bumper then you bend the rod over to the back bumper where you have a downrigger clip you clip the end of the rod and there you have it

irishfield is right I didn't use live bait I walked around talking to everyone and doing everything except fishing 1/2 an hour before the end I thought I would try fishing..a green meegs and a small green tube on it and Mr trout jumped all over it........wonder if I can do it again....but with bigchevy and Ron out there it will be hard to do it again

one piece rods are more sensitive, IMHO and if you bend a 2 piece rod you will see the natural curve of the bend is changed where they join but 2 piece sure is better for traveling and storage so it's a trade off, and most times I don't see that much difference, so I go with the 2 piece rod

I have had it for some time now I love it no wires going down the shaft..works well only down side is no temp on it so if your fishfinder has that feature, it will not work

I have the map76cs, which is one step down from that one and I love it there is nothing more that I need in a portable gps, it does it all has a great list of add-on maps I don't think you could go wrong with it

well the transom should be under 25" so the 36" one should be more then fine.. as for 40lber, it depends on what you are going to use the motor for if you are going to troll with it rather then position with it a 40 may not be big enough for a 16ft boat

Tomcat, you are right but if they are the only PDFs you have on board and you wanted to take them off to go swimming to cool off or to put sun screen on or for whatever reason, at the moment you take it off you are breaking the law.... I just thought people should know the facts...... I have a self inflating one and I find it hot and uncomfortable on hot humid days, so I do take it off and have the regular PDFs on board...

it is true these inflatable PFDs do have to be on you to be legal, if you have them sitting on your chair or in storage, you had better have enough regular lifejackets or you will be charged
