Great deals @ Sears this weekend. 40" Samsung 720p LCD 799, 40" Sony 1080P 979, 46" Sony 1080p 1279. I own a Sears dealer store and right now the LCD's are flying out at those prices.

I still have a few craftsman tool sets I can donate ( I own a sears dealer store). They are new and in a box. They are the ones you see "on sale" every other week in the flyer for 19.99 down from 79.99. I have quite a few different sets I bought to donate for cases like this. I don't have pics though! I can take a few tomorrow with cell phone and email to someone? Perhaps they would be better served for the Niagara derby as prizes seeing as the proceeds are going to this worthy cause anyway??? Let me know. I'd love to help.

I'll have auction items to help out. Let me know via PM when the auction will happen. How about a variety of new Craftsman tools? I have a 50pc screwdriver set and a 4 pc plier set to donate as well as an 11pc combo screwdriver/plier set. Let me know who to mail them to. I've never met you Rick, but send you my best wishes. Cheers!

Be careful with the "lifetime" thing. I've had mine now 5 years and my fine print reads "lifetime or the life of three radios." I opted for the lifetime and am now on faceplate #2! I've already gotten my $ worth....but the "lifetime" is a little misleading. Also, as for the nhl games....you can pay a little extra and get them.

Awesome stuff! I didn't know that. Thanks GCD. Maybe that'll mean less snot rockets coming home from now on!

They both have their place. I love my one piece in the fall and early winter and prefer my two piece in the late winter early spring so I can take the jacket off......you know those gorgeous march days 10oC on the ice

Bag. Five years now and love it. I've got a bigger Shimano one that repels the water fairly well and love it!

I've got an OtterII sleigh that I love. It comes with an elasticized tarp like cover that I always add a bungee cord over north/south to further secure. Never lost a thing. The sleigh, sliders and tow bar cost me about 200 a few years ago and it looks new still today. I use it a lot! It's really light too!

...If you do be sure to send me a message if you need a guide. Cheers.

Me and my regular fishing partner are going to hitch up my boat tomorrow seeing as the forecast is too nice to pass up (god I love being self employed) targetting late season eyes, pike, bass or perch in Huron's North Channel @ the mouth of the Spanish River and beyond. Anyone with advice? I'll bring the steel line set up, the riggers and a mix of different rod/reel combos. Any and all suggestions appreciated! Cheers. Gonna throw it all at them until something produces!

Those reflections shots of what I think is Depot Lake are stunning. Thanks for showcasing our great area!

That cabela's item is a neat and simple idea. I bet I can easily make something like that. Thanks. Going out tomorrow again....will be smarter. ps. camera is dead! I now am an easy person to shop for this christmas!

.....Bring your neoprene chest waders this time of year to assist in hooking up the boat to the trailer! I went fishing alone yesterday afternoon hunting walters and jumbos....had a great afternoon, a couple eyes and a bucket full of keeper perch for the table. The fun part began when attempting to load the boat in 20 km winds and a deep launch. Like a dummy, I thought I could "tight rope" the tongue to latch on and SPLASH! That 46 degree water made for the 60km drive home interesting! Good thing I didn't get pulled over! lol! Pics to follow (I hope)....camera is drying out! FYI, I was out @ the mouth of the Spanish River in the North Channel of Lake Huron out in the "Whalesback Channel/Aird Island area. Marked lots of fish, caught the eyes trolling in forty feet of water on a large taildancer chub colors and the perch bouncing an 1/8 ounce jig off bottom in a variety of depths tipped with a live dew worm.

It was explained to me by a S.T.O.P officer (OPP) on the trail that I'm only entitled to use the ofsc trails to go fishing provided I'm taking the shortest/safest route. i.e. I can't leave my house (where the trail is easily accessed) and ride the 20miles to my fave lake when I could have trailered my sled to a nearer access point. I was warned that if I wanted to continue using that route a pass was needed and the next time I'd be fined.

That's an awesome photo. Thanks.

Best way to reduce trolling speed
ctdd2006 replied to Arnaldo de Sousa's topic in General Discussion
I put an easy troller on my 70Hp mariner and did the trick...probably too good as the engine has to run faster and louder to get me to 1.5hp. I wish I had room on my transom for a kicker but I don't think it would work for me. If you can....go with a kicker, and if not an easy troller plate is a cheap and easy fix. I can get down to under 1 mph now from my previous low of around 2mph. It seems like a lot of headache for a 1/2 mph but my success rate at 1.5mph for lake trout is much greater. Good luck. -
Here's to wishing all of you lucky enough to attend the GTG a fun, successful and SAFE trip! I've been talking to a couple of you about going and I really really wish I could but instead I get to attend my wife's cousin's wedding coincidentally being held at a lodge on my fave laker lake which happens to be closed!!!! Lucky me! The beer better be cold! Cheers to all of you fortunate enough to attend such a trip. Again, good luck and I'll pray to the walleye weather gods for you. I look forward to the reports.

2008 Fishing Review: My First Year Fishing
ctdd2006 replied to Governator's topic in General Discussion
A very fun read! Congrats to the two of you! I know it has already been said, but don't put the rods away yet! There is lots of time still to land those toothy critters you like. -
took a trip to the everglades once....bought a cheap spinning combo at the local walmart and some big plastics texas rigged and flipped them into some cabbage and waterways of some back roads and had a blast! Gave the rod to the first kid that looked like he would appreciate it after I was done and brought home the memories on the plane! We don't get buckets like that here! Give it a try! Don't be shy to ask the yokals for directions! Congrats on the wedding and enjoy the cruise! All the best.....CHEERS!

living in Northern Ontario we've just given the NDP a clean sweep! Just what we need....the party with the 4th amount of seats sitting in the "cheap seats" trying to help us out. Wow the north will be heard loud and clear these next 4 years! I won't sleep tonight!

Luv2drift: Although I both agree with most of your points and also admire your commitment to preserving our rights as outdoorsmen it is your aggressive and defiant attitude that has gotten some fired up here I think and not your opinions (for the most part)! Also, you're in a special position of protest seeing as when/if a CO or Bylaw guy or even OPP comes looking for your pass and asks you to provide ID you get to pull out that distinctive wallet you carry and flip it open revealing a certain flashy piece of tin which will initiate a friendly conversation between yourself and the person of authority. I mean this in no disrespect as I am very tight with my brother in law who is a P.O. here up north and I also hang out with a couple other boys in blue and I know first hand it's a perk of the job. I on the other hand have to take the fine and if so chose to fight it I am dealing with a colossal pain in the a$$ having to drive back to the municipality it was issued being right or wrong, forfeit a day's pay, incur fuel costs not to mention the value of my time to fight it. If I chose to ignore it...they sell it to a collection agency and they harass me. It's a crap situation either way. I'll chose to stay away.
