  3. Somebody's bin a messin with Grampa's choppers
  4. That is going to taks some creativity Nice little whitey. Sure better than I can manage for now.
  5. No worse rhan most regular television programming. I could hurl every time my wife turns on shows like 2 1/2 Men, Friends, the 10 versions of CSI...., and watches 6 episodes in a row of the crap. It would be as bad as watching re-runs of last season's Maple Laffs
  6. No better report than hearing a good day of fun with your family.
  7. Good ice has often been a problem with some of the farm ponds I fish. Underground springs and runoff make the ice thin and soft. Streams and rivers are always challenging because of the constant flow of water.
  8. Team 4 is busting out with guns a blazin

  9. Long before all the construction, the old 69 had to be the most dangerous highway. Stupidest thing I ever saw there was a truck with boat trailer trying to squeeze into the southbound 69. Traffic was stop and go and this fella tried to cross from Oaks into the plugged lane without enough room for truck and boat.. The rig coming northbound hit the boat and trailer and sent it airborne into the opposite ditch. A miracle no one got hurt.
  10. NEWS FLASH!!!! Team 4 gets a bouble barrelled start.
  11. You fellas are too young to be thinkin about bucket lists.
  12. Poor boat handling in a lively chop would be my bet. Stuff a big wave in reverse and down you go
  13. They wouldn't have been driving down the 69 by chance????
  14. The politics of money is the only basis behind this decision.
  15. 20 years back, saw a 48' trailer flip and spill it's load of ball bearings all over the QEW in Stoney Creek. Sat for 3 hours while they cleaned up that mess.
  16. I can see the fine for going out on poor ice and being rescued. The amount, however, is absurd. Heck, I've paid out for some 40+ ambulance trips over the past 3 years for family members. It hurts the pocket, but it does not stop me from calling 911. Emergency services have evolved considerably from 30-40 years back. Back then, community members were called upon to search for missing boaters and ice travellers. Methods and equipment are far more advanced. Due to liability concerns, they do not call on local volunteers. Risks still exist. I get a knot in my stomach every time my nephew gets called out on marine rescue, and it does burn bad when I hear he is risking his life for someone who disregarded weather and condition warnings.
  17. Make me drool, you does. You don't forget days like that.
  18. I hate reading that your family is going through this once more. I hope and pray that all goes really well this time and that the disease is licked this time. You folks have had enough of this to last a lifetime.
  19. Between all the hospital and clinic visits, and poor weather, there has been little time for fishing. I finally got out for a day with the son for some local perchin. Nor a lot of fish, but no dinks in the mix. Also been puppy sitting my sons little newcomer. He's a short little rascal. 1/2 Jack and 1/2 Daschund. Only 10 weeks and gets along famously with Casey.
  20. Reminds me of the days of the cherry beach express
  21. Kala's in St Catharines is famous for bending over to please the customer. Well known for carrying just about anything a farmer can need. Others are not so great. All depends on the owner. I've seen a couple of stores that have the modern kitchen as their focus and very little hardware or tools.
