  1. the year carolina went to the end and lost, they didnt have enough points to even be in the playoffs but led the divison, nobody saw them losing in the finals.. can you say IRBE? hahah he played well
  2. unlike the habs, the sens just didnt wanna make the playoffs they havnt had a chance at an early tee time since 95' unlike the habs! i wouldnt be suprised if auld and price have tee times booked together!
  3. congratulations dirk, a new family member to team 6! wish you, the wife and taylor the best health and times in the future. Congratualtions Matt!
  4. hey richyb i'm shootin a remington 870 pump 28 inch barrel been using "kent ultimate diamond shot" 2 3/4" 1 5/8 load charge shot 5 seems to hold a tight pattern, at 45 yards i dropped one and a few out at 30 holds pretty tight out as far as 50yds lets say a 24" diameter at 50 yards. but same as you the plan is to take one with the bow. my dads winchester has a 30 inch barrel full choke as well but his gun holds a better pattern with plain old winchester 2/34" shot #4 so maybe experiment a bit before the 27th! ps did ya ever find a tranny for that 4.6L? Matt
  5. i think a bunch of these folks are holding their compass backwards, dont know the difference between north and south. hahah i've sen plenty of them north but way north of there, pembroke area the fields are opened up and the flocks have been dwindling everyday, from 25-40 oer group down to 6-7 soon to be 2-3 by season opener i would think.
  6. so here is what your reports have tought me! i am now able to read with my eyes closed (open them to look at pictures) but by doing this it makes my butt cold, my fingertips chilled, my face feeling the breeze, sunshine and soft falling snow! actually i think i just need to close the window and turn the heat back on it is only april! hahah but honestly Drew, your reports almost dont need to have any pictures, your ability to tell a story makes one feel like they are there beside you. enjoying the day without even being there. the quality of the fish always seem to get bigger and better congratulations on the PB pike and thanks for the read. Matt!
  7. port loring yard sure is amazing, aint it!!
  8. just think misfish 22 days till opener!
  9. i have to agree, i'm not looking forward to the 4 lanes all the way from the T. to north bay. not gonna help any i dont think. it's hard on all the by passed small towns along the way and not gonna do nipissing any favours. other than the cost of land of course!
  10. here in north bay we have a lake with you name it in there (large and smallmouth, pike, perch, walleye, suckers, smelt, specks, rainbows, lakers, musky, sturgeon sunfish rock bass and atlantics.) i'm sure i missed a few in there too but none the less the atlantics are now doing very well. what was once considered a "waste" of money is now a great fishery once their spawning grounds were cleaned/corrected for them, they reproduce naturally now and are caught by many anglers downrigging while the season is open for a week in the summer. once considered a waste of time is now a great success which is putting back to the lake. as for spending the money on rainbows or coho's instead i dont think theres a need for that, judging by the posts on this site there are ample bows in the great lakes anyway, Nice report, them are some good lookin fish browns atlantics whatever they may be good work. looks like you have no motor on the boat from them pictures! Matt!
  11. sounds like your dad needs to buy you a good knife, stone and a 2 foot section of countertop. hahahha just gotta give it a go, no better time to learn how to fillet then now!

  15. thank you for the tip. i am using willow leafs blades if it makes a difference or not, and nice looking spinners i must say! not a whole lot here in the north for tying supplies. and didnt shoot enough deer last year to have enough hair to keep tying. Matt!
  16. fuel, unforgiven/II, and So what!
  17. i do realize they sell the soft swimbaits, but i'd just like to make and customize my own, my own colour size shape, hooks, and most of all it just feels that much better to catch a fish on something you have made on your own. they also sell pop r's but i plan on carving some of my own.
  18. thanks Jaques, there actually going to be a 50th b-day gift for the ole' man.

  21. started to try my luck at tying some larger spinners that ended up costing about 3-5$ a piece instead of 20-30 at the store, next is trying to make some larger soft plastic swim baits in the 10-12 inch range.
