ice shack is 12x16 turns into camp in the off season at a buddies property. dual action!!!

i have to say squaretails a good ole' speck, but then i again most of the specs i catch under the hardwater are in the 1 -5 lb range, gettin to these lakes is the fun part. and i must say i'm not happy with the 08-09 regs being in zone 11 specks dont open until feb 15th and only one over 12 inches.

any lake thats still open at the moment is lucky, too bad the little lakes got that quick 2 " of ice is now covered with a ton of insulation.

no out of the boat had to break through a couple inches for quite a piece to get out to the open water

what a beauty fish i've only ever caught one it was a 24 pounder in late summer/fall on some heavy bass tackle had a huge gut like that as well

a real nice pike 43 inches length 29 inches in girth 100 feet of ice off the shoreline not what i was expecting!!! had to fish some different spots than used to. found a few shallower shoals out in the middle of the lake where i hooked into this big guy.

moultree they take an excellent pic and are pretty affordable and bushnells eat through batteries one cold night and they are pooched!

its good to hear that theres still a few "true" outdoorsman out there.

these are the kind of postings i like to see. some real nice fish and theres just something about the bass that gets the crank turning. and as u say the smallie is jammed into the lens a little close hahahah
