  1. Buck is right about bubbles being osmosis and it happens to alot of boats that dont stay in the water too. The US epa mandated changes in the type of gel builders could use a few yrs back for enviromental reasons and some will bubble where they sit on the bunks,Tritons are known for this. You have to put in the water or lift the hull to feel the hull where it sits on the bunks,if its bubbled run its moisture saturated and delaminating from the glass mat.

  3. You may think a 17' with a 115 or something similar is all you need but 100% likely you would end up wishing you bought bigger. Storage, rough water ride, fishability and speed or lack of all of the above is why you would regret it. Anything over 19' and not under powered should keep you happy.
  4. Ya maybe Albert makes sense but a delay would sure save the"oops I forget" factor from happening.
  5. You would think ignitions would be setup like a kill switch so its disabled until the blowers have ran for a preset period of time thus taking the human element out of the equation.
  6. I wouldnt suggest using a tripod,my last boat came with a very nice stainless swivel eze so I looked into using it for tubing and the manufacturer specifically stated it was not suitable for pulling tubes. I've pulled a tube with 2 different bassboats using the tie downs with no problem.
  7. They are excellent when it comes to supporting their product. Talk to the dealer you purchased it from they maybe able to do something for you.
  8. Maui jims for the win!!!! Ask your eye dr. about lense quality, they are flawless. I dont wear glasses so I got the framless sports with titanium arms and wear them all day barely noticing I have them on.
  9. A float tube, why? Cheaper, better position control and hands free to fish while controlling/moving it, very comfortable.
  10. Tracer braid is a true braid (comes in green too),the only thing it has in common with fireline is the name they are two different lines.
  11. There is a resort at the very south end with a launch and tent camping near the channel to ephrinham lake. You drive through Gilmore and the road takes you right to the resort.
  12. Ya you can, I got someone elses this yr..
  13. wow!! Bored today farmer???? I have a bassboat and a float tube which I used for 20 yrs so I don't know if Im a fisherman or not????
  14. I dont see them being a big factor on southern Ont. water,Im sure they will catch fish in the right situation but at those times there are other things you could fish that would likely be just as effective and alot nicer to fish. I have yet to try one, I was offered 1 free and I said no thanks but they insisted I try it so I guess my arms will be getting a workout soon lol.
  15. Uglybug relax brother, I was trying to give you legit advice and wasnt attacking you or anything or trying to insult your buddy just sayin his number is off,no need to get defensive.

  17. Ok well if I was you I wouldnt be prop shopping yet, that tempest if its clean should be about as good as it gets for you performance wise, pull the plugs it should cut your holeshot time to less than half what it is now. You wont gain 5 mph with another prop unless you can majically turn more rpm cause a bigger pitched wheel will turn less an not be faster. As for your buddy running 80 in a 521 he must of left his gps on driving the 401 cause thats the only way it could happen and before you try and convince me it does, I have a very good idea what different boats/engines will run and my last bassboat ran low 90's so I know what it takes to break 80 and what a 521 will do and its not 80 .
  18. Im guessing thats an old tempest without plugs or your running with all the plugs, you should be outta the hole quick if you drill vents or remove plug(s) with a 23p temest with a 150 or 175.
  19. A transom mount but take the screw out of the top of the shaft and turn the head 180* then all your forward speeds will be your reverse, you want this because you should be going backwards for good boat control. Think of it as pulling a chain instead of pushing it, the boat will go exactly where you want it and fishing in the wind would not be a problem.
  20. I have lots of skirts $1 ea picasso and strike king as well as custom made,I may have some new hulla's to @$4 ea.. Just pm me
  21. Im very surprised local business reps in attendance supported the idea. The MP's may not think in the same terms as them but would they not see the potential for economic suicide? The $ lost to their area's and the ripple effect could be huge. There are other bodies of water that day users have free use of. Many people that dont see the cost as justifiable will go elsewhere. They are already indicating they will recomend it in Aug. yet obviously no economic impact study has or likely will be done by then.
  22. Go get em Ernie!!!!
  23. This gets my vote, its your inexperience or one of the above or a hook in the hull but thats not likely, some tweeking (if its not you) and it should handle fine.
  24. Put some weight up front and it should settle down, likely just because your stern heavy right now.
  25. I dont care what his background is, if its as you say then he has totally discredited himself in a professional sense via some of his claims, read them carefully, no rational person could seriously take them verbatum, no doubt to me he has a clear agenda in mind. Im done commenting believe what you choose to believe.
