  1. Nice line I use it, only the packaging changed, its the same fireline braid thats been out for 5yrs
  2. The name is a misnomeaner, that hollow tube from the gearcase to the trailer wont save anything, it will as irishfield mentioned wear out you mount bushings due to the vibration being transmitted from the trailer to the gearcase because the trailer suspension causes the harmonics of the boat/trailer bouncing to be out of wack. There is far more stress and torque put on a transom running rough water than bumps on the road.
  3. Hey how are ya, personally I would never buy 2, I tbink 95% of the benefit can be had with 1, no you dont spin, the bow will move some but a tap of the tm puts you where you wanna be, just anchor based on wind direction and where you want to fish.
  4. Glad you had a good day Steve, like I said I enjoyed fishing with you and you are welcome in the boat anytime.
  5. Text me at 905_440_0773 the messaging doesnt work well on my phone Steve
  6. Leaving from Oshawa at 6am,anybody interested in fishing it until 5ish?
  7. Glen has fished it a few times,I fished there with him a few times about 20yrs ago, good to see he is getting out.
  8. Capt pierre ive fished a tube for 20+yrs, I have a bass boat too but still go tubing every yr.
  9. You can get zipper pants or bibs with the qualifier but not the 100mph (handy when its leak time no need to strip down).I like the pants better than bibs, have a pair of suspenders so thsy stay up and i never get sore shoulders they way you do with bibs plus the 100mph is way to warm in the summer.
  10. I think I've fished that lake Garney , thats a solid day out.
  11. Try a piece of pvc and a smal cargo net, you will want the bar
  12. All on one split is fine, you will pay hst on the boat and motor at the border and pst on the trailer at mto.
  13. Read pats boating site, everything may be inorder in their opinion but dont assume that, for instance if the trailer vin # is scratched so that you cant read part of it or missing entirely you will not pass inspection here and would be forced to remove it from canada within 45 days.
  14. Nothing to worry about, its a standard 20" transom, every boat you look at will be the same. There is a 25" but you wont see them around here. Its because the side are higher it gives the appearance that the back is low but it isnt.
  15. Do you have a water pressure gauge? If not don't raise it and get one installed asap so you know what pressure you have now, seeing water doesnt mean anything. You may have been over trimming when you heard the "ventilating sound" , did the bow lift more when you hit the trim button after hearing it? It might just be increased prop slip from over trimming. What boat/engine/prop are you running?
  16. wire a male/female plug between the motor and batteries, make sure you put a breaker fuse in line from the battery too regardless of using a plug or not. 40 amp re-settable is good, cost $10ish
  17. You guys are being pretty tight lipped lol!!! How was the opener?
  18. Dont think service canada offices do this anymore. Your right about what to mail and you can use it right away if it has numbers on it,they allow 90 days for you to get your numbers and put them on.
  19. Dont worry about that Albert, the pulltruded are compressed layers of glass/resin.Glass will absorb a very small amount of water but not enough to cause it to swell or effect its intended purpose.
  20. Save yourselves the trouble of explaining why we are worse off without an adaquate supply of paper copies, bill has it all figured out and you guys should feel like dolts for questioning his logic
  21. Any chance your a govt. employee Bill, you take the position that its no big deal that printed regs are not readily available and you supported their move to e lic. issuing. In both cases you had an answer for every senario were losing the type of service we had might be detrimental to the public, except 1, the elderly, explain how no printed copy of regs or not being able to get a lic. in nearly as many locations doesnt impact them negatively again????
  22. Get a prop designed for stern lift, it will be stainless and pricey but should be a big improvement. A cav. plate fin will help keep the nose down when your running slow and the last fix is adding a jackplate to improve your load carrying but this would likely void your warranty .
  23. Just a guess but I think your foam may have been water logged, as long as it was built to pre-approved specs it met the required govt. floatation and therefore unless it was built off spec. which could effect its floatation the responsibility may fall with the owner, lack of proper up keep would be the focus I would guess. Most people dont realize it but pretty much every make of aluminum boat and many glass boats do not have sealed floatation and over time the foam becomes water logged and the boat gains 100's of pounds and won't meet floatation safety standards. The type of expandable foam used should never be exposed to water yet due to crappy designs it gets wet on most boats often.
