  1. Storm were made in hondouras and maybe costa rica? Then mexico, depends where they we're made too.
  2. Very nice Ernie!!! You know they are good when you can make your fist disappear
  3. Like Craig said, what do you want? I have fished central florida and texas, they are very different, florida has weed and clear shallowee water and texas has off colour water with flooded timber mostly and more depth. I fished Fork in its hay day 20 yrs ago and it was decent but dont expect big fish over 10lb as they are scarce. I found for me the fishing in texas to be much better and more enjoyable to fish because its different than here were as florida was pretty similar too ontario weed lakes just clearer water.
  4. I did a 18' bassboat and it took 19 hrs., but I saved $1,000 so it was an easy choice. I had never worked with carpet of any type but it was easy and turned out mint, just use the old pieces as a patern and make sure you run the nap in the same direction.
  5. No other than if you want it just for musky you would be better to get a musky rod
  6. Thats a bass rod your looking at but it would work as a "3 iron" musky rods if your not throwing really big baits
  7. Yup I packed it in myself almost 30 yrs ago, stayed with the brookies for a few more yrs but just cant deal with all the clueless jokers. I get more pleasure walking the east creeks watching guys fish than I possibly could fishing them myself, and yes I know lots of pools not too busy but still doesnt cut it.
  8. Never heard they reduce line twist and doubt they would effect that either way,I also dont think in practical terms you would ever see a measurable difference in casting distance. The big benefit to them is with braid on a baitcaster you wont get guide/tip wrap,I dont know why that is never mentioned because they virtually eliminate it and are worth their weight in gold for that.
  9. Its not a matter of if its installed properly but if it was engineered to withstand the added torque stress and the answer he got indicates it wasnt therefore void warranty.
  10. Clearly from that response if you had any transom/support issues or even leaky rivets or cracking anywhere near the stern they would decline the claim.
  11. Maybe not what you want too hear but I wouldnt run it again without taking it to a GOOD opti mechanic, whatever is causing could possibly result in a blown power head.Remember what you paid for it and it may make that pill easier to swlallow.
  12. Is that a barber jacket Brian? I had a coat & pants, nice stuff.

  14. You may just need a new fuel line. Try running it till its ready to stall and squeeze the bulb, if its soft its sucking air and starving the engine for fuel.
  15. I have a new kawartha lakes backroads map book (the discontinued one) I can part with for a few bobbles. It has Head lake in it.
  16. Boat are faster in chop, there is less drag on the hull (water has more resistance than air) so you answered your question right there.
  17. The drop in speed would be due to air temps, load, water condtitions but not your gas.High temps/humidity will kill your performance.
  18. Just drive into Orilla there are 2 both free,1 on Simcoe right on #12 the other on Couch at the town docks (much better launch)
  19. The 50 drifter showed is perfect, it will trip if it draws too much but that would only happen running in heavy weed putting too much load on the tm, it can save you from melting wires though or even a fire if you have a bad nose and were not paying attention
  20. So Bill are you hooking 1 bank up to each battery? If you charge 2 batteries in series with 1 bank instead of 2 it will double your charge time. Im guessing you researched the wiring for running in series but it is different for a 12v than a 24v,with the 24 you wire them parallel not in series, one puts out 12v the other 24v.
  21. No you dont need to disconnect them. I ran the same system on my Allison for a while with a 2 bank onboard charger till I switched out the tm.
  22. The hole leaking up high is a pressure relief over fill vent for the gearcase but exhaust passes through the same cavity, its possible it was over filled when they changed the oil but doubt it since if it leaked at the rear seal it wouldnt have the pressure to leak past the relief seal. The crap your seeing is unburned fuel with carbon it picked up in the exhaust,so your dumping fuel.
  23. Looks like fogging oil, is it the 1st time it ran this yr? If it is your plugs are likely just fouled & you flooded it. Make sure its level when you start it because it has carbs.
  24. Well at one time the plant employed 17,000, it will be down to 2,000 soon so with the fixed cost associated with a plant this large they better allocate a future build or it could go bye bye in a few yrs.
  25. 18 fishes small too and not likely a stellar ride in rough stuff, under 19' a 150-175 is fine, over 19' with the exception of a few fast hulls you must run a 200+ or it will be a dog.
