You can usually get a good deal on a used one. Hell I got mine used from Danbo and havn't had any issues!

I've got a 45lb Minn Kota on my 14 footer and it's more than enough power. As for brand I'd stick with Minn Kota or Motorguide. Everyone will debate which one so I'd go with the better priced one which I believe is Minn Kota. ( Got a motorguide wireless and Minn Kota and love them both)

13 hours from my buddies place on Manitoulin Island. it was the Holiday weekend and there were a ton of accidents around Sudbury. We thought we were clear until we hit the traffic near Parry Sound all the way back to Cambridge.

Was going to the CTTS Tourney on Sunday but my wife made other plans. We will be down at the cottage in Long Point for the weekend. I will get out there and get some pike and perch for sure. BTW since I see a few of you are going down there, bring a shovel and help me dig out the snow fence if ya can (Look for my truck on the beach side)

I agree! The only thing running off my deep cycle is the trolling motor so I just unplug that and connect the charger.

I have to agree on this one. Since the funds for more enforcement aren't there I think that a mandatory test should be written. It won't get rid of all the idiots but it will help with the younger guys. It could also get the MNR some more $$$

WOW!!!

I can see how saving that money is a good idea but what happens in 6 months if you need a $2500 repair? And if you needed another repair you would kick yourself in the donkey. I would go for to play it safe.
