  1. My condolences to you and your family Dan
  2. Thanks everyone, Boatman, when it pops out of gear it is when I am going wide open with 3 people in the boat (14 footer). It has never done it with less than 3 people in the boat. Now here is a noobie question, How do I check my lower unit oil? Do I just drain a little and have a look at it?
  3. The oil is black and thin. How can I inspect this? I am mechanically inclined and $600 was just put into this motor so I would like to do it myself.
  4. I've got a 1981 Johnson 9.9. I just noticed that there is a little oil leaking out by the prop. Is this Normal? Also last time I had it out it would slip out of gear and rev really high without the prop spinning. Are these related? What is causing this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
  5. Nice Cars. Driving around Chatham today a Ford GT40 flew by me. Not a Ford guy but it sounded nice.
  6. I think we all need a pic of this 19" perch!!!

  9. I'm planning on Dunnville this weekend, then puslinch in Cambridge. I've never been to Dunnville but Puslinch is about 10 -15 feet, clear water
  10. This is going to be my first year fishing for walleye. I have no clue what to use or how to use it. I've heard to jig off bottom but would like to get any advice, thanks
  11. getting very windy here in Cambridge
  12. I fished in an intex one for 2 summers. It worked great. Got hooks in the outside and it never popped. Went through rocks and beat it up, never had a problem. If you are carefull there is nothing to worry about as long as you stick to small lakes
  13. I agree If you fish Conservation Areas a lot, i would get an electric motor. Otherwise gas all the way.
  14. makes me want to call in sick right now and go Pike fishing
  15. The only spots from shore are at the Old Cut in Long Point and the pier in Port Rowan. Not a lot of fish there right now though. Your best bet is to go to Port Dover and try the pier and marina.
  16. Glad to see they found the problem and didn't try to blame you
  17. Looks great, hopefully you get it aired I can't wait to watch it
