  1. I could possibly see him taking a look at Komisarek if Montreal doesn't re-sign him. He fits Burke's player profile to a tee. Big, rough and tough!
  2. My day started late!!! Kayaked for about 2.5 miles.....only hooked 1 fish and then the winds started to pick up so i had to paddle back the 2.5 miles. Still a nice sunny day with lots of excercise, can't complain to much!
  3. Well I bass fish from a Kayak with an ultra light rod and 4 pound test. Now a 3-4 pound smallie giving me all its got on my set-up can be pretty fun!! I don't eat fish so who cares if bass taste terrible to some. If you feel bass are not a fight then change your set-up to an ultra light...its a different story. Also a nice smallie will put up a fight better than a crappy, perch and walleye combined!! So I am not so sure why you are so negative towards bass opener! I am a Steelheader and I still like to fish for bass! Maybe I just love the sport!
  4. Thanks Stoty for clearing that up, I was wondering why in the hell they would do it the other way!!!
  5. Maybe he put this post up here for a non-bashing Micheal post!! Apparently he has respect for a great entertainer, unlike some! RIP Micheal!
  6. no sense in buying a John Deer now!!!
  7. I am strapping my Kayak in my truck and heading about 10 minute drive to the end of a road on the shore of lake erie. Launching and then going crazy with the spinner baits and tube jigs!!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
  8. 6 pound p-line flouroclear is a good line to use. Shiny spinners are good. small cleos should also work. Also don't under estimate how productive a live minnow can be.
  9. WOW city workers get paid $10 an hour to be on strike, here in Niagara guys are fighting to find jobs that pay that.!!! Gonna stink in T.O this summer!!
  10. I personally would not work for someone you know is a prick already, you will not enjoy working for someone like that. I would say collect your EI, look into the second career strategy with the Ontario Government and choose a different field or career. But choose wisely if you do! Once your EI runs out then there is additional funding for the second career that would kick in. this way you can really commit yourself to school 100%. I wouldn't listen to anyone saying suck it up and get off EI, thats why you pay into it. It's not like your one of those low life's abusing the system! Let the system work for you!
  11. All i can say is good luck with that one! I keep no fish so it doesn't apply to me but lots of people eat walleye, so I can't see people following anything like this.
  12. i don't have anyone to split the cost with. Plus I don't get much mailed so US Address works for me. I am like 4 minutes from the border so i usually just go buy stuff over there rather than buy online and get shipped.
  13. i just used the link Billm showed for us address.....just send email with all your particulars, have the stuff mailed to there address and it only costs like $5 per item up to a certain weight. UPS store is way to expensivve, they wanted $30US for my item to be shipped there.
  14. ouch...and to think it's gonna be plus 27 tomorrow here!
  15. ....you said it all in a short breath!
  16. Well I actually do know about this cause I am learning it in school, by real police officers! People will always be against the police because it is human nature to go against authority. And yes I learned that in school also, which was a survey done by psychologists.
  17. ok then tell me...would you rather have that many tazered or 10% of that shot and killed!!! Come on now. Police are trained to protect themselves first! I would do the same thing!
  18. Not all Police Officers carry Tazer's in Ontario, just so you know! And a tazer saves lives, cause if there was no tazers and a police officer had to protect himself he would shoot. I would rather be tazed than shot!! For the person complaining about the non-motorized fines....there are alot of people that drown in ontario from drinking and getting in canoes and stuff. They wouldn't make these laws if idiots would stop doing stupid things on the water drunk! Its like a stupid warning on a product, they wouldn't put it on there if someone didn't do it!
  19. Same layoffs have happened to me in the last 5 years. I would recommend trying to become a police officer, depending on if you have a criminal record that is. If you can move anywhere then try RCMP. They are gonna be hiring big time. You have to get certification thru ATS testing then you can apply. Plus if you have been laid off, try the second career thru the government. Its what I am doing right now, i am taking Police foundations at a private college. Mine is a 1 year program and you have your diploma. As for your thoughts on not being the best student. Start reading stuff, anything. This will help build your brain and knowledge. Reading does make you smarter! There is no qauranteed job field anymore and I had to make an informative decision and choose to pursue a policing career because there is little to no layoffs and there are many gonna retire in the near future. Hope this helps.
  20. Ya I like the sit in ones too for the same reason, try and keep the water out. The opening in my kayak is quit large, even a fat guy could fit in my Yak. Don't know how balanced it would be with a big guy in it, but I find it perfect for me and I am 5'8 and about 200 pounds. But aren't the sit on top ones hard to add stuff to like rod holders?
  21. wow....$599 for a kayak....ouch. I bought mine at dicks sporting goods in Buffalo for $329US, about $400 canadian.
  22. well if your ever down near Fort Erie..you could take mine out for a test drive on lake erie. Then we could chat and I could pick your brain about Police work.
  23. thanks....i like the CBC feed better. NOt to fond of NBC commentators
  24. i personally like the stuff! Would recommend it to anyone!
