I figured the rivers and creeks were locked up, but thought there might be somewhere at the mouths that you can ice fish at. I don't have alot of time on saturday, so I am not able to explore the area.

Ya scugog was an option...except for the fact I have been there like 8 times before and have never caught a fish ever there. So I tend to not wanna go to a place I never catch fish at, LOL.

I will be in the whitby and oshawa area next weekend, was just wondering if there is any decent fishing or ice fishing along the lake. Like maybe a marina that people ice fish. I didn't wanna have to travel up to Scugog to ice fish, and thought there might be somewhere closer. Even some trib fishing if they are not frozen over might be in the cards. Any help would be great, maybe even meet up with someone possibly.

Saw a video in class about a Native theft ring going on at shopping malls around Hamilton and Oakville....they are hitting Toronto Malls as well. They are mostly just stealing the whole vehicle. i personally wouldn't go with a 2 piece, just in case you fall in the water or ice breaks. Helly Hanson 1 piece float suits are farely reasonable and comfortable also.

Just go get the MNR stocking reports on lakes, thats what i did and found a true Gem of a lake! All I did was look a the size of the lakes and how many were stocked in it.

don't think they will slow down....they are trout. Colder the water the better they are. I iced fished a lake a few winters ago, and they went nuts on my lure. Not sure what depths to fish thou, but i would say jig them like you would lakers, tip the jig spoon with a minnow too!

The big rods really help fight a fish in the currents of a larger river like the Niagara.
