  1. i would get a deep V hull alluminum boat so you can fish in the winter as well. you mine as well get your money back by fishing year around.
  2. 1 piece is the way to go. I have the Helly Hanson suit. Black and red and I love it. Pretty comfortable.
  3. I watch the olympics to watch the elite of the elite...who cares if we win any medals. Just sit back and admire the talent the world has.
  4. its new...only 1.5 years old. We bought the extended warrenty 5 year deal! Paid out our butts and I hope it is worth it. It is an LCD screen. Phoned a repair place and they said it is more than likely the LCD screen going.
  5. might not be the bulb...it might be the LCD screen! Hopefully I get a new TV, but I doubt it .
  6. During the winter someone posted replacing the bulb in there 50" Hitachi TV. I am looking for that person cause my screen is starting to turn blue and I wanna know how they found there bulb for it cheap. Sorry guys its a Hitachi and not a Toshiba....LOL
  7. your best bet...head to the Niagara River for a whole day....tons of bass there.
  8. Lots of great spots any where from Port Colborne to the mouth of the Niagara. I have been bassin in the inner bays lately in a kayak and have been doing well in shallow water near crystal beach. Straight out from the mouth of the Niagara river on lake erie has a few great spots that have shoals. I am not sure about anything more as I haven't been able to get out deep as I have a small kayak and don't wanna get out to far. Bigger bass are in 30-40 feet of water.
  9. i had a rock bass hit a rapala J13 will fishing for pike.
  10. downstream from caledonia, just outside town. there is a park there. walk down the trail to you reach the power lines. FLoat fish under or near them. water is safe to walk out there providing it is at normal depths that is. Oh ya i usually use worms.
  11. was in st.kitts all day and completely skipped us, and went over the lake.
  12. Not me. I take NO fish home and will continue to do so.
  13. try fly fishing for them with bead headed wooly buggers....thats what guys are catching them with on the shores of lake erie right now.
  14. they will then find a way to charge you for water then...LOL
  15. I work in a steel factory cutting bevels on pipes for oil well and water well casings. Don't choose factory work cause its going down hill. You work get laid off, then work and get laid off, it sucks. I am changing my career choice as well. Have my ATS testing on July 12th and I am gonna try and get onthe Niagara Regional Police Force. I would consider the fields you are thinking of (Plumber/electrician). There is always a demand for them for sure. You can also make a good living as a plumber or electrician. Good luck in the future.
  16. sell the pin...LOL, good one. A pinner would never sell his pin unless upgrading. I might try my fly rod this year for bass, could be interesting.
  17. i would do it if I were you. I fish the grand river near caledonia in the summer with my float reel and floats and have great success with dew worms.
  18. ya I think thats the island...snake island, sounds familiar. Cottage I go to is right across from it. i don't go there so much anymore, maybe 2 times a year. As I live in Fort Erie so its a long drive.
  19. depending on what side of stoney you are on, there is shelf that holds walleye right at the edge of stoney and clear. It is on the birchview rd side of stoney. There is a strip of tiny islands about 15 feet wide. the shelf is from the first rock to the bigger island to the north. try not to go in to shallow as the water all of a sudden gets shallow. the depth should be about 15-22 feet there. If I had a map I could show you better....lol. The cottage I go to is right at the edge of stoney and clear also. Also try some of the large open bays with deeper depths. Or find large cliff rocks that have drop offs at the edge of them. I would jig polastic minnows and mister twisters, or even live minnows also. Thats all the help I can be
  20. LOL nice, walk to work and save all your gas money for fishing trips. The gas issues are one of the reasons i am getting out of Factory Work and gonna go into a career that is very stable and does not have Lay- offs like Factories do, and of course pays better, LOL!
  21. yes if it is the condensation pipe which it sounds like, just shut the ac down and continue the pipe to the laundry tube, providing there is one in the house that is, my pipe is plastic thou not copper. Just make sure there is a slight downward angle. As for the ac problem on the the upper floor, if you can access the vents maybe they are off each other. Other than that I can't help you. What size pipe is it, too bad you weren't closer to fort erie, got a bit of pipe here just sitting around from when I had to extend my lines in my shower, plus I have elbows too.
  22. I agree...there is absolutely no reason for people to speed. Leave 10 minutes early. It gets my blood boiling when I see minivan's go whipping by me at 140 klicks with kids in the back seat. More people should think of safety of there children and other drivers. GReat idea for the Cardboard police....LOL
  23. I cleaned out my truck today and found a receipt from Feb/08....gas was $ .98.9.....I am not paying as much as you guys up north for fuelbut it was 1.27 today, thats a huge money....cost me almost $20 more to fill...LOL. Oh well, I started getting out my bike and now bike to places which are only a 5-10 minute drive, it just takes 30 minutes now...LOL. I just drive my truck when I go to work and thats it now. Maybe I will save enough over the summer to leave town on a recreational tour...LOL. But I wouldn't trade my truck in for anything!
  24. was nice and sunny today...and warm. Went for a 1.5 hour bike ride!
  25. stoney lake and clear lake is right near there.....decent walleye there.
