  1. No offence to Pete but everytime I see a pic of him it reminds me of the Crocodile hunter (RIP) and they both seem like great guys and love toothy critters.
  2. Looks like it's been sitting on the same couch he caught it on last year.
  3. Fairly tense indeed.
  4. I have went to a couple on lake nipissing the last two years that were good with nice prizes I think ones in jan the other in march.
  5. Setomonkey I love the singnature and agree with what you say, but you know consoles are better I just read the article again and the fish was full of eggs. You would think if a guy was such a great angler he would understand the benefit of releasing the fish over keeping it for a trophy to boost your ego. He was entitled to do whatever he wanted with the fish but I think he would have got even more respect for releasing it.
  6. 4" here.
  7. Very nice fish, she only needed to hide for one more day and she would have made the spawn, looks like she was full of skeen already. The man was in his rights to keep the fish, but why would you ? It was no record, you don't eat the meat, and you can get a replica with exact size anyway, and everyones happy that a 50lbs fish came out of the lake, and look at the respect the fish got. I'm not trying to stir anything up but why would you keep the fish, it makes no sense to me.
  8. I have a couple Okumas, the Induron worked well for casting bucktails.
  9. That one will help you sleep well untill the spring, nice one. Did you get a good look at the one that got away ? there usually alot bigger, lol....
  10. I agree if they were in danger with the shark pulling the boat, why not just cut the rope/wire?
  11. I would like to get into some big Lakers ice fishing.
  12. Awesome story.
  13. It's funny the MNR posing like he got the buck. What a waist by the poacher though just leaving it there to rot.
  14. Looks like the one cat tried to get your beer and your fighting to get it back, lol.
  15. I think Lew is right on, you will need at least two different rods anyway. You could wait even longer and pick up a couple on boxing day or during the winter and find even better deals on rods, or ask the dealer/retailer for the same price on the 7'6" you never know.
  16. Gotta love those smallies when you get into a nice size.
  17. I guess lake X is producing some nice eyes this fall. Nice pics.
  18. Great support/product stand behind Mike....BUT can you get any of them to run straight! LOL What Irish said.
  19. That's a fat tanker Bill, Nice fish.
  20. Happy B-Day fellas, have a god one.
  21. Those are some monsters, very nice fish.
  22. That's still the fatest 38" muskies I've ever seen.
  23. Nice one.
  24. OMG. If you can set 8 rods like that and not get tangled your an experienced enough angler to know the rules, these guys just don't care. I wish they would change Gbay to 2 rods though, musky fishing by myself with one lazy lure seems impossible at times. I wonder if I can get my dogs some licences next year and put 3 lines out.
  25. Hard to beat a day like that ! I wonder if there were any super tankers in there with that school considering you guys were averaging 9lbs, lol.
