  1. I don't know anyone who targets them, but I've caught two both on 1/4oz jig and minnow, but they hit it on the reel in because they are usually hovering at the surface from what I've seen. I bet a small bass sized top water would work good.
  2. Usually the games are on quite a few channels for playoffs, so we'll be O.K. You know the funny thing about the actual RapsTV, they don't even show the live games. WEIRD, I use to have the channel and they never aired the live games.
  3. The playoffs are usually covered by the big guys NBC, ABC I think. Man I hope Carter breaks his ankle the first game, and I'm being serious.
  4. What's the deal with these math questions on all these things ? Could you imagine getting the phone call and giving the wrong answer. What if a guy just finished a couple wobbly pops, talk about stressful.
  5. Awesome. I wish he got to see it up close, It's hard to tell in the water, but she certainly left a nice size splash.
  6. It wasn't that one in the movie SPLASH with Tom Hanks was it. I think her names Hannah, good looking mermaid that girl.
  7. Well my grandfather is passed away now, so I can say with no worries that he use to shoot them almost every day once they started eating the fish under his dock many years ago. I'm still young, but I know things were different back then because the neighbours would call the cops and they would show up and have a drink with my grandfather (lemonade of course) and that's about it.
  8. So I looked into the Hurk situation caus I love dogs. Heres what I found. He is a real dog but not that pic.
  9. Have a good one.
  10. I like eating fish, but I like the sport a lot more. I would personally have no problem releasing every fish of every species long enough to build huge populations. And that's coming from a GBAY fisherman, I think we have the lowest consumption numbers across the board already. But I would like them to change it to two rods per angler on Georgian Bay, that would be nice.
  11. They look great.
  12. It sure looks cool, lol. But I agree it's far beyond 282lbs, it's bigger that the horse. My buddy and his dad breed Mastiffs and they have some close to 250lbs that are 10 times smaller than that thing.
  13. Nice shots Lew. Can't wait for those early spring fishing mornings with the mist coming off the water.
  14. Well all the fines you would get might cut into the profits. Maybe use the water ski pole for a stripper to.
  15. Time on the water is how you catch fish. People can read all the mags and watch all the DVDs but it's just theoretical knowledge. It definitely helps to learn techniques and presentations etc.... but the guys who catch the most fish are the guys that spend the most time on the water. The hardest part is finding the fish the rest is basic, IMO.
  16. Nice ideas guys. This is a little off topic, but what would you think of a on water tackle shop buisness ? Turn your boat into a floating tackle and bait shop and coffee shop with Tim Hortons bait and lures and boat around, selling stuff on water.
  17. WOW, it'll be like Chistmass all over again for Chris. I hope he nails some hogs this year.
  18. Well you would need a whack of cash to travel around but I'm sure it could be done, I would watch the show. When are you starting to tape ? with a little editing you can make 5 years into a month on video. I think I've caught them all exept a Coho Salmon, White bass, sturgeon and maybe a couple more rare one's that I can't think of. A lot of them were by accident fishing other species though.
  19. This shows the 3rd man in history to ever walk on water. The 1st one was Jesus Christ... The 2nd one was Peter (the apostle)... Then there was this guy, Jose.
  20. Fishing or bath fishing or bath, mmmmmmmmmmm, tough call Gary.
  21. Welcome aboard. Lemmy guess. A red and white bobber with a plain hook and worm ? I think we all started on that one.
  22. Good look Pete.
  23. Let them spawn or no one will have any future fish, it's common sense. I herd the Nippising Natives are going to start controlling the spawn, good for them if they do. Our little community takes turns watching the fish and through rocks in the water near the fish to spook them away when the natives show up trying to spear or net. The police come, do nothing, but with the pressure of the community the Natives usually just leave. To top it off these are fish sanctuaries as well, doesn't matter. And if the Natives don't think there doing anything wrong than why do they show up at 3 or 4am, driving with their lights off the majority of times, why not go in the day ? The Walleyes here just came up today, I will be taking my shifts to protect the fish as much as possible. I also have a lot of Native friends around here and I say the same things to their face, some agree, some don't.
