  1. Nice report Justin, that girl is quite the angler! Thanks for posting, MTBF
  2. Well said, can't go wrong with a St Croix. Great service, had my Legend replaced within a month through the mail...not bad considering I shipped it to the US. Go with a St Croix but try and get into a Mojo or Premier. You get the 5yr warranty and with a Avid,Legend etc..you get a lifetime warranty. Fenwick is blahh
  3. Hello again OFC! Well I finally got a little time off work and am fishing a little derby this weekend with a a friend of mine. Anyway I'll put up another quick little report Sunday. Anyway I wanted to share a picture of my rod collection. I remember a bunch of us sharing pictures of tackle and gear in another thread but can't seem to find it. I picked up a couple G.Loomis rods and love them all! Well from front to back here is what I have now. Only one rod left, a TWFR855 I think it is, a Frog rod that's 7'1H I believe. NRX854 7'1H F with a Core50MG7 BCFR893 7'5MH F with a Curado200E7 SBR813 6'9MH XF with a Curado200E7 CBR783 6'6M Mod.F with a Curado50E Also still have my little 6'9ML Avid with the Stradic. Anyway put some pic's up of some new gear if anybody has it! Have a good weekend and fall guys and girls. MTBF

  10. Hey OFC, been busy the last week every day so haven't been able to put this together but here it is. My friend Gone Fishin brought me along for another day of bass fishing last weekend. We fished a little tournament on a Kawartha lake with 8 or 9 boats in it I think. We launched just after 7 and were due back after 3. The fishing that day was slow and we saw several fish crusing along but we managed to get 7 or 8 keepers over the day. And got out 5th and two culls right near the end of the day. It was fun to have the pressure on. We have another small tournament coming up soon, hope we can do just as good or better next time out. We placed 3rd. No money but we had a little under 12 at 11lb 10oz i think it was. Here are our better 4, still had another little guy but some nice fish overall. \ Anyway OFC thanks for reading and looking. Tightlines MTBF
  11. Hope to get out a few more time's this Fall. I managed a largemouth over 5lbs a few weeks ago here in the Kawartha's but even with a couple other largemouth over 5 these last two summers I still haven't been able to beat my 6lb 14oz PB Comeon Fall fishing! Ok...had to share the others from this year Tightlines everybody! Some nice big bass and walleye you have all caught.
  12. Nice fish man!
  13. I have not used a GL2 but I bought two G.Loomis rods in the last month. One in there Spinnerbait series(6'9MH) and another in there Crankbait series(6'6M). I love these rods both, have only caught a handful of little fish with them but they are super light and paired with Curado's they are a fine match. I have been looking at a Loomis spinning rod, what one exactly did you buy?
  14. A trip up north to Kesagami guiding myself for a week straight catching a hundred walleye each day and a half dozen giant pike haha then of course would travel to Mexico and do some largemouth fishing for a week there too!
  15. Nice bass man, definitely inspired to start making vids next summer...very cool

  18. Thanks for the reply. I have come a long way since my early days with the fishing snake here on OFC lol. All said I now have a rod for crankbaits that will be another new world to me. Will have lot's to learn next season once I get a wack of cranks. Got to love pitching jigs, they always produce something. Take patience sometimes but it's always worth it. Tightlines solo
  19. Nice story Hamilton guy Keep the report's coming! MTBF
  20. Thanks for the reply Roy! I have been out twice and both times since my return from Leeds & The Thousand Islands and we have had some good success. Always a joy this time of year, still lot's of pleasure boaters but not many fisherman really...O well some are smarter than others haha

  23. Good afternoon OFC. Well again I got to go out fishing with good buddy Gone Fishin for a morning in one of our favorite Kawartha lakes. Fishing shoreline we managed to get a couple quick bites in this cold front day. Rick got the first a healthy 3lb 12oz largie And another one by Rick. It was not easy to fish, all bundled up getting smashed by the waves out there was a little tough but the action kept us fishing. Not 10 minutes after Rick released his last bass I get a bite right close to the bank, set the hook and this pig came straight to the boat. Pulled under the boat a little bending my rod in half haha. We got her in and back in the water quick. A 5lb 2oz largemouth bass, such a nice fish. I've been lucky this summer to get a few. You can see the scars from over the years...aka missing fin lol The action continued a little but we decided to stay close to home and keep trying similar stuff. Rick picked up another two and I got another just under 2lbs. We also lost a nice bass boatside a easy 4 pounder. A ounce shy under 3lbs And the last of the day today, We had a great time out there. Hope you enjoyed the pic's, and I will be here with another report soon I hope! Take Care guys MTBF
  24. This is a sad day...we shall have a moment of silence in remembrance of Cudz. Family is important man but no matter how much I get yelled at I'm still goin fishin haha.
