  1. Well the lake I'm referring to is in Northern BC so it might be a bit of an adventure for you. However it has very minimal fishing pressure due to its isolation.
  2. That sir, is a great piece of engineering. Looks like you have everything all set. By the way, I know of a lake up this way filled with landlocked rainbows (15+ lbs) only access is by air... interested?
  3. Sounds like a great trip out there! thanks for sharing!
  4. I've heard Lake Ontario holds some fish, and it has lots of shoreline. sorry, I can't help I've never fished in the GTA.
  5. Its a pretty cool book, I just read it not too long ago. I'll need to make sure I catch that.
  6. Well, glad to see the recession isn't affecting everyone! Great rides Stoty!
  7. A few years ago I worked at the golf course in Erin. 9 holes but it is a hidden gem. Never fished in the area as it is mostly farmland. I have heard that the forks of the credit can be productive for trout (brookies or rainbows don't remember which at the moment). I know there are a few here that fish there, and there may be some special regs so make sure you check them out before you decide to go. Good luck with it.
  8. Looks like a common water snake to me, could be a black rat snake, but they are somewhat rare, and in my experience not as dull in colour as the one pictured.
  9. Great stuff! Pays to do a little exploring here and there!
  10. Looks like a great day! that Sheepshead must have been a great battle!
  11. Nice colours on that one! thanks for posting!
  12. Great report! Thanks for sharing it!
  13. Great stuff! Nothing like a new species. Pike are a blast and that walleye had some nice size to it! congrats!
  14. Nice gators! Can't wait to get into them myself!
  15. Congrats on your first! Beautiful fish!
  16. Funny you should mention this, I was doing some research, because I don't know much about Grayling. Turns out they are actually part of the Salmonidae family. But their flesh is nice and white and light, great eats!
  17. Great Whities! I've only caught little dinks in the lakes up here! getting one of those big ones is on my want to do list! Thanks for the report!
  18. only about 1800 Kms away. Just a short drive, or a two hour flight then a 7 hour drive on top of that. Good luck with the sturgeon, They are on my want to catch list!
  19. Looks great Lew! I wonder, what is the total weight of that package vs. the tow capacity of your van? Just trying to figure out what my outback might be able to tow.
  20. Great job! that sure is a nice eye you got there!
  21. Great report! Nice to see some good sized eyes early in the season. Had a friend who was out on the Larry for opening day and he was saying the same thing about the waves. I think they only caught 2 as the conditions were supposedly brutal. -Thanks for shar
  22. Sounds like you had quite the day! glad to hear you got into some fish!
  23. I have a feeling they are as well. Forgot to measure, but the ones on the picks were roughly 17". The crazy thing is that these guys were avg sizes for the day. There were a few that were half that size, and a couple that were probably in the 22" range. Burt, I don't think a lot of people have them high on their want to catch list, but they should be. Like I said, incredible fight out of these guys and they are plentiful. Some of them had my 6'6" medium action rod bent over double pulling drag! Thanks for the feedback guys!
  24. Fish of a life time! great job! keep those reports coming! and if you get a mount done, let us see the results!
