Hey Simon, thanks. However I know I can walk 30' out and be only chest deep mid summer and it's all stone/gravel in the area. When the boats done for the season I'm just happy to cast 100000 cast's with hope at one last fish from the spot. I just wasn't sure how good a top water lure would be for walleye as I have never tried it. Now with this thread I have other ideas and options when the boat goes to sleep. I hope all is well up there bud.

Thanks but for my 13 year old daughter I got her a new rod and she's happy with it (shimano). I had hope for warranty is all but thanks all

Thanks and this rod is WAY more than one year old. Wasn't sure if they had good warranty like Shimano once did (lifetime)

hey all. the guide on the rod closest to the reel broke so I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what the older rods warranty was. I don't have the model number with me now but I will when I get home this evening. It was a nice and light rod that my daughter really liked. No clue how the ring actually rotted in one spot as she never kept her hook on the ring. I told her not to as she could knick the ring and cut the line so she listened and never did it again. Well it IS a kids weekend and we do like to go visit my folks so this time I'm going to pack my fishing gear and not have to rummage through what's in the boathouse... To bad the last section of dock is out as it would have been nice to be able to cast in a few more areas.

This unit was to come with a chip and Terry was right that it's a micro SD card slot at the bottom. I have the APP on my cell so it's fine. I just need to learn how to use it and hope I can mark spots when there is no chip...

well I got the missing bracket and hardware but no chip at the price I paid. It's okay as my parents lake isn't on the chip and or the app I have on my cell. I kept the unit and made it ready for the ice and or a buddies tinny...

I was very pissy with this game today... We had to watch it on mute @ work, still work and my desk is far enough from the 3 tv's I could only make out the BEATING on 1 tv between calls... Lucky I have tomorrow off to watch the game with some "pop's"
