No worries and as Michael said photobucket is best to use cause then you use the 'link' and when you go to post a pic there is a 'image' icon and when you click on it then it asks for the link to the url of the image. Otherwise just make sure the image fits the "max upload size" if you don't use photobucket.

So what is BPS to gain really (other than locations and loss of competition in that manner)? Was Cabela's clothing line and hunting products that much better that it's best to buy the company than make the BPS line better? Sure Mr Morris has DEEP pockets but it's not like they are taking on Shimano to out sell them (at least in my eyes). I can buy budget price gear in bulk from overseas if I really needed to or wanted to. It's not like Cabela's owned Lund and that's why BPS purchased them for the extra companies other than the stores...

I don't have either close here in Lindsay so I'm not too worried. If I'm heading to Whitby to take my kids 'home' I can then plan a quick visit to SAIL. But the local shops around here (and even the CTC) have what I'm after at a decent price and I don't have to drive an hour or more to get a deal.

well the rain started here just after it got dark... only one bass caught before then and 4 missed fish. my biggest problem I'm sure was how shallow the whole area is. even with casting as far as I can I was only getting to 7 / 8 ft deep water. oh well at least I got to take some casts and fight a fish when fishing wasn't planned for today. glad I have a bit of stuff here as I didn't even bring anything this visit.

thanks guys. I'm just visting my folks and the boats done for the year and most of the dock is out. where they are on the lake isn't that deep but I have had great luck off the dock in the summer with jig's as I can get to deeper water then. I'll give it a shot either way! *nice fish B!*

Just wondering if anyone has tried it and had luck? Reason being is I'm limited to where I can cast to and it's shallow. Fishing from shore is why I'm asking. Either way I'll give it a shot later this evening.

True and yeah just don't park out front my spot and we are good, HAHAHAHA The bracket for the transducer and there is two inputs on the back of the unit and only thing in the box was the transducer unit to plug in. The power runs off that same line. So the chip and not sure if the speed/temp sensor should have been in there too...

Hey all. Well I decided to grab a "newer" unit than the 'bird' 525 for the boat and picked up a demo unit on the Mark-4 for $100 + tax. It doesn't have the Nav chip (prob got stolen hence the price drop as I was listed @ $379 then $189). This unit was never even powered up from the looks of it... I'm not too worried about the chip missing as the lake isn't on the maps and I have the Nav app on my phone. BUT for those that own these units what are your thoughts?

Fishing memories of a great catch do that to me too. I have not used one (rapala rod) but I find my mid grade line of rods cast and play fish just as well as my better rods. In my mid grade line or rod's I have only broken one due to MY fault so enjoy the new rod. It comes down to the reel and line that I use with said rod that makes me confidant with a sub $100 rod. Oh and I'm cheep too... LOL

I watched a hour and a bit last night on the Golf Channel all the pro's and ex players calling in and or posting things on twitter. One thing I didn't know was he was a key factor in the Golf Channel. The "King" will be missed for sure but never forgotten.

I haven't been since I stopped working in Markham 3 1/2 years ago but it is sad that the smaller places are getting forced out. I was told by someone who was there on Sat that they intend to keep the Markham store as long as they can and the others are done for sure. So maybe the Markham store will last? Who knows...
