Most of my stuff is under the $100 mark now. I have a few more money combo's still but I don't find one better than the other for how I fish now. Rod with a cork grip, light and good action and balance and I'm good. Reel with a smooth drag and feels good to hold and use, yup. That's all I need. My stradic hasn't even been used this year but I may dust if off this weekend, still not to sure...

There is a nice looking smaller bike for sale in Lindsay at the esso on Angeline for $2,200 or so? Seen it getting a snack, it's locked up inside between the pizza place and the gas station. I do echo the comments on cost and safety. I looked into it last year (in my 40's) just to putt to work and back and nope, wasn't going to save anything. I had my dirtbike growing up and like MrB I had access to a Ninja 750r to also play with. You may be better off with dual e-bike's for you and the Mrs if you must be on 2 wheels. I think an older car would be a better idea as then you can get 'casual' insurance as it's not a daily driver.

I too have the same one's, one set at home one set at my folks cottage. For the price they do what I need. Yeah sitting you will get wet but still better than nothing

Yeah then sell it and get a different unit. Still running a Samsung Note 4 here and after almost 2 full years of solid daily use (calls, text, surfing and so on) the battery is my ONLY issue. It's now only one day per charge. When new I had many days of use on a single charge. *edit to add* not a mark on the glass either and it doesn't have a screen protector just a 'gel' case

So as kids get older they tend to change what they are interested from moment to moment. My kids included. This weekend my son (10) wasn't with me as he was in a baseball tournament. So my daughter (13) and I decided it's time to visit my folks. On Sat I tried a few times to have her join me fishing but had no luck. I went out in search of walleye and zero just just some fun fishing LMB (5) and a SMB (1). Forgot my cell that little bit out so no pic's. After dinner I was almost begging my daughter to come fishing with me, well she did. A few dink bass for her and one missed hookset on something with size as I watched her rod double over. Me on the other hand STILL no walleye but a few more LMB (1) and SMB (2). I love my kids weekends and enjoy the times doing what ever we do but to get fishing in there too, priceless... G
