  1. Our father's father's and all those before them. We didn't have the info we had even in the 70's as we do now so those working to the 'new world era' have to work with what we had and now have. I hate the idea too as it means my boat that has been rather bullet proof for the last 10+ years may cost that much more to run and more down time to fix and new issues. *ARGH*
  2. I've seen the same delivery truck at the Esso and the Can Tire in Lindsay.
  3. I've never fished there but it still sucks and now opens the door to other places to make changes and or bans.
  4. Nice going Mr B. I was working...
  5. When I had my Clam2000 hut I had a strap give way on a windy day and take me for a ride on the ice till I hit enough snow to stop. I think I went like 50' and only lost the jig that was tied on.
  6. Yeah a crazy one at that! Chris you got 'rouphied' (spelling?) aka date rape drug from the sounds of it
  7. When I was 17'ish a guy 2 homes over from me I found out was a BAD MAN. I'd see his car's not parked right some times (in the snow bank or even on the lawn) and figured he had a few and drove. He has seen me on my dirtbike so he came over one day and asked me to help him break in his new Ninja 750R so I said sure I'll come get the keys in 1 hour. I went, went in the house to be brought to the basement to get the helmet and key. Well that was in a hidden room that had many, MANY gun's and items. He gave me gas money and said bring it back in two days. So of course I did what I was asked after seeing what I had seen. So I show up and he opens the door and said "come back in after 8pm as I don't want you to meet the people in my house" yet all I needed to do was hand him the key and helmets. So again I listened. A few days to a week later I'm trying to get home to my folks place and SWAT had a bunch of trucks there and told me I couldn't get any closer to the area. I left and called my dad to tell him I won't be there for dinner. He went out and spoke to them and told my dad (he's an ex-cop) to escort me through the area if I cam back right then and there. I'm now home and in the backyard having a smoke and I hear a voice say "get in the house now!" so I say "dad I'm just having a smoke" to get a reply from the other side of the fence saying "I'm not your dad" and he flashed a flashlight off and on quickly. So turns out the guy 2 door down went to an Apt building and blew a shotgun hole through a door looking for someone. Oh and he was a drug lord...
  8. I have no clue what my post count is but I guess I'll see after I hit submit

  13. Nice vid and thanks for sharing!
  14. It is open as of yesterday morning. Sorry I will not be able to stop by Cliff as the kids and I are at my folks place.
  15. When you are 15 years old and you plan to 'take' your older sisters car out in the evening to pick up your girlfriend, make sure you know how to turn the high beams off. The local police don't like them in their eye's and will pull you over... *edit to add: I too have had the hood fly up on me in my very 1st truck, 1985 Nissan king cab. Lucky me I didn't smash the windshield in.
  16. I had a big one in my yard last night, it was into the trash next door...
  17. Another fine post there Mr B *wishing I lived closer your way*
  18. It's all good my friend. I hope it helps you and others looking for answers too. Next, onto Shop Talk about car? (new job, sorry I had to )
  19. What I mean JD is there are some areas that still do not have any form of internet and you are forced to use the cellular (turbo hub or stick) type that cost's a TON of money just to have it. I was just saying have a peek is all when shopping and well sign the Mrs up for the new account if you stay with Bell so there is all the new promo's vs you fighting to get a deal on what you have. PS to all. If you call to cancel a home service contract before it's up (with Bell and the others should offer this too) and you tell them you have to cancel because you are leaving the service area (proof needed to an extent) or moving out of the Country for any reason the contract is null and void as they do not service the area you are moving to. Enjoy even if it's a bold faced lie...
  20. FloatnFly, that happens in a few areas. The switch (node) cannot take on any more so they use the old lines. My address in Lindsay was to have Fibe Aug 14 2015 yet I cannot get it today. They just started to do work this week to find the damage causing the delay. Oh and I have even seen areas in Brooklin (Winchester and Anderson) that there was NO SAT TV tech for installs on 4 roads in the area. It is what it is either a switch issue or a tech issue (tech being person or the software used to map areas of availability) that causes the problems... And that's not just with Bell. IO, when you do move check the homes on your list as to what you can get at the home from the providers web sites. Oh and if you do cancel Bell but like it; have the Mrs make the new Bell account for the promo's. You will not retain a home phone number that way however...
  21. I split up the quote a bit: Point 1, they will most times do the price match stuff. Point 2, Yeah you can have up to 6 receivers on 1 account and you ALL share the bill and the same channel pkg. The bill goes to one house under one name. Bell and Shaw have changed to One account for your home and ANOTHER account for the cottage/trailer. In the past they didn't care if you had 2 properties. Point 3, the receiver cannot tell Bell or Shaw it's location unless it is plugged into an active phone jack. The phone jack sends the info back to the provider to say you are ordering an on demand or pay per view movie vs calling in to order it. 100% blame the CRTC! They told all the carriers the new plans and packages and rates. Trust me I blamed them all the time because it's 100% true the CRTC screws the consumer on TV and cell phone plans. The home phone and internet plans are what they are.
  22. That's a LOT of adult content then!
  23. Mine goes in the garage on a board or foam on the floor and get's checked 1 time mid winter and then again as the spring is coming and then thrown on the charger. Why, old habit... I'm sure it would be fine in the boat, covered outside the garage but old habits die hard... This year was the 1st time in 6+ years I needed a new cranking battery following my old routine BUT there was a constant draw draining it that was found later after there was no saving it... Less work if it's/they are safe in the boat and you keep checking on them to ensure they are not drained...
