Few inches of rain and freezing rain due in this evening and throughout the night. Tomorrow supposed to each around 40 and could have some heavy rain. Sounds like a heck of a mess.

I've fished the Rideau for quite a few years at Rideau Ferry ... just out Rt. 1 from Perth. We stay at Maple Crest Motel and Cabins. Last year the owner said that some folks were catching a couple while ice fishing - but very few. I've not heard of any action for Walleye's in the summer and I've never caught one. It's my understanding they're trying to get a population going in that section, but I've nothing to confirm it. I'm mainly there for bass and you can latch into some pike in the high 20's / low 30's (inches)

Thank ya folks. Actually Patsy and I are not having a Thanksgiving dinner this year. Our church offers a FREE Thanksgiving Day meal with all the trimmings to the community as an outreach event. We're providing a good hot meal to those who otherwise may not get one or those who have no familiy coming in or any place to go. We even deliver meals to those in the community who are shut-in or otherwise cannot get out. You'd be surprised how many of your (our) own neighbors have little to eat - or what they may be eating that day. It's a great time and that's how we'll be spending Thankgiving Day.

Something like this is just so hard to believe. I never met Sonny either, but just the responses to this thread tells us all what kind of man, and person, he was. Allow me to send my condolences to Sonny's family as well.
