  1. That's the kind of attitude that can beat this thing. Give it hell Jack.
  2. All my best Jack and we'll be sure to offer up our prayers for you.
  3. Hope all goes well and a great recovery. Here in PA, when you renew your driver's license, they ask if you want to be an organ donor. Those that do have it noted right on their driver's license. Big Green Letters right under your picture. So, if something would happen, it could be noticed right away. Patsy and I are both listed for organ donation.
  4. That is a trip most only dream about. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Really great to see.
  5. Really great Lew. Looks like ya got quite the view from your den.
  6. Looking forward to it. Will be great to see a part of your country, that few really get to see.
  7. They're running those commercials on TV down here. I agree, the one with the little boy and the truck is a classic. "It's a piece of junk'. I love it.
  8. You got yourself a great place there Lew. Good to see your dreams coming true.
  9. Was at a local fishing show talking to "Musky Joe" who guides on the Rideau and Ottawa Rivers. This sounded like something I'd like to try, but that's a long distance for just a day or two of fishing. So, I started looking around the 1000 Islands area - Alexandria Bay and Clayton. I can be there in about 8 hours. Of course, I'm finding quite a few. Curious if anyone has taken a charter from one of these areas - and what you thought of the trip and the business itself ? Probably looking at going out for 2 days. I'm looking at the US side in the hopes of taking a partner with me - just in case they do not have a passport.
  10. The Zipper : As the bus stopped and it was her turn to get on, she became aware that her skirt was too tight to allow her leg to come up to the height of the first step of the bus. Slightly embarrassed and with a quick smile to the bus driver, she reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little, thinking that this would give her enough slack to raise her leg. She tried to take the step, only to discover that she couldn't . So, a little more embarrassed, she once again reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little more, and for the second time attempted the step. Once again, much to her chagrin, she could not raise her leg. With a little smile to the driver, she again reached behind to unzip a little more and again was unable to take the step Finally, a large man standing behind her picked her up easily by the waist and placed her gently on the step of the bus. She went ballistic and turned to the would-be Samaritan and yelled, 'How dare you touch my body! I don't even know who you are!' The man smiled and drawled, 'Well, ma'am, normally I would agree with you, but after you unzipped my fly three times, I figured we were friends.'
  11. Happy Birthday Joe - hope it is a great one. I'll be joining the 50 club later on this year. (No - I'm not talking the 50" musky club, but that could happen too).
  12. I saw that too - all the Canadian Fans showing their respect for the American team during the medal ceremony. That showed true class and I was really glad to see that. I'll bet the players themselves appreciated that as well. This is what the Olympics should be all about - win or lose. Just being there is a monumental accomplishment in itself and should not go unrecognized, no matter which country you are from. Canada did a magnificant job and all Canadians should be proud.
  13. That was indeed a great game and what better way to play for the GOLD. Congratulations to all of CANADA.
  14. Yup. Let me also congratulate the GOLD medal winners. What a fantastic game - as it should be. Congrats guys
  15. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. TJ - WE LOVE YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're the best player we have.
  16. 2 - 1 end of 2. I sure hope this one goal will pick up the USA team. Sure looks like a fast paced game.
  17. Where's TJ. Your Southern Contingent needs your words of wisdom.
  18. Got some rose petals and a couple candles to go with those ?
  19. I just hope that both teams come out; play at the top of their game and give an all out effort. I know they will and this should be a "game for the ages".
  20. Go ahead TJ. I double-dog dare ya to apologize to us Americans (Before the game). Surely there is no such thing as deja vu ?
  21. Sounds like my place Mike. Grand-son's Bday party at out house today. We set the time for everyone to arrive AFTER THE GAME. Not sure which place will be louder - Vancouver or my living room.
  22. Will be sittin' at home. I hope it's over before all the kids and grand-kids come for supper (total chaos and high noise levels). I hope both teams come out and play at the top of their game. Should be an exciting one.
  23. Heard Hawaii has warnings up. Supposed to hit around 4:15pm EST
  24. I don't think there is anyone in your country that feels worse that Cheryl does right now. I watched the match as well and really wanted to see Canada bring home the gold. But - it was not to be How about just celebrating what the women were able to accomplish and be proud of that ? They had to make a heck of a lot of other good shots to make it that far. Oh yeah - Our USA team was out of it after the first couple matches. Celebrate the accomplishments and don't pour salt into wounds that are already hurting. None of us could have done any better - even though we 'think we can' from our own easy chair. Sorry - but a couple of the comments just seemed to rub me the wrong way as I just have a lot of respect for my Canadian friends and neighbors.
  25. Canadians have shown to be one class act, including the fans. I've watched more of these Olympic games than I have in all the ones before. Win or lose, everyone should should show their support for ALL the athletes - regardless of which country they represent. These men and women dedicate a lifetime of training, time, and hard work for one fleeting moment in time. Win or Lose, they were there and did their best. PS: You folks up there know how to make a foreigner feel welcome - even us Yanks.
