  1. This was sent to me - and I just hung on to it. TREAT ME KINDLY Treat me kindly, my beloved friend, For no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me. Do not break my spirit with a stick, For though I should lick your hand between blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me learn. Speak to me often, For your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footsteps fall upon my ears. Please take me inside when it is cold and wet, For I am a domesticated animal, no longer accustomed to the bitter elements. I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth. Keep my pan filled with water, for I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst. Feed me clean food that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life, should your life be in danger. And, my friend, when I am very old, and I no longer enjoy good health, hearing and good sight, do not make heroic efforts to keep me going. I am not having fun. Please see that my trusting life is taken gently. I shall leave this earth knowing with the last breath I drew, that my fate was always safest in your hand. --- By Beth Norman Harris 1968 ---
  2. Sorry to hear that. I know how hard it was to put my partner down a couple years ago. I still keep her pic here on my desk at work - and at home. We picked up another, but she's just not the same.
  3. Hey - We do have a gold medalist on the team. Does that help ?
  4. Lookin' good guys. Be seeing ya all real soon.
  5. Good to see they got out there right away and catch them in the act. Hope their pocketbooks get hit hard for something like this and that they never hold a rod again.
  6. You're on fire now
  7. Those will make any fish in the neighborhood hungry. Nice work indeed.

  9. Amazing shots. Looking forward to more of these.
  10. Awesome report Andy. Really enjoy the pics/reports about your adventures.
  11. Very sound advice for that water. About the time you think your clear and in open water ... bang !!! I've been fortunate as well the few times I hit one .. go slow until you KNOW the water your travelling
  12. Now I like that. Sweet ride. Congrats. My new ride is scheduled to hit the water Monday for the first time.
  13. Now that is a great one !!!
  14. I checked iboats. and they don't have mine listed - at least not yet anyway. 2010 Pro Guide V175. Funny you should say about the Bass Pro covers. Picked one up the same day I picked up the new boat. Box said it was for the correct length and beam. Guess what we're returning to bass pro today ? Two hour trip - one way. Live and learn I guess.
  15. Great Saturday cheer.
  16. Good deal Southpaw. Thanks for sharing your excitement with the rest (or most) of us.
  17. Lookin' for a cover for my new ride as well. I'll be checking out boatcovers.com and see what they have. I'll also thank you for the links. Appreciate it and the timing was great.
  18. It's a thriving business down here as well. Ya just can't believe all the TV commercials now with Law firms offering their services for just such incidents.
  19. Nah ... not that old. Happy Birthday Carol.
  20. Yeah - That's lookin' real good. My Dad has a Yammy and loves it.
  21. I'll second that. Met Glen a couple years ago at the summer GTG. One heck of a nice guy and will quickly put a laugh on your face. He was up at Lakair 2 years ago for a mini fall GTG in September. Patsy and I was at another camp nearby at the same time, so we took an afternoon off and drove up for a visit. I dropped Glen a PM a few days ago to check up on him. Haven't heard back yet. Really hope everything's OK.
  22. Not too long now ... just 2 1/2 loooooong months. We'll have to see if I can keep that klutz on the dock this year - or if she'll have to be hauled out again. Patsy taught Emma (Lab) to jump off the dock last year. Of course Kia (Airedale) thought that was really neat and she did the same thing. Eyes as big as dinner plates when she hit the water. That was good for a few laughs.
  23. Right. I have a temp sticker to use until the real registration and numbers come from the state. I'm holding off putting on the temp sticker to see which comes first. Me getting on the water or the state coming through. Bets ??)
  24. Well, we traded in the old Targa V17 and upgraded a bit to the Pro Guide V175. Finally got rid of the old 2-stroke and went for a 90HP/4-Stoke Merc EFI. Just a few inches longer than our previous one, but have a little more beam at 101". Just barely fits into the garage - have about 4 inches of hight clearance ... must have measured pretty good. Upgraded the LCX-28C with one of the new HDS 7 units. (Really wish I would have went with the HDS-8 now). Just pulled her out today to get all the gear installed and storage places filled up. Hopefully they'll get the boat launches cleaned up from winter this month, so I can put her in the water. Lots of stuff to learn with this HDS unit it appears. Looking forward to some water time in the near future.
  25. 30 years for me. Keep it going Pete ... you can do it.
