Now we all know this is an old legend so to speak but I have been having a rather heated discussion on another board about it....the folks there arent as nice as the ones around here. Some are saying its a pollutant and against the regs under this. I have looked into it and turns out WD40 is very degradeable aswell as being non-carcinogenic. Wouldnt losing a lure at the bottom of the lake, or outboard exhaust be considered a "deleterious substance"? I couldnt care either way, I have tried it a few times on pork baits for pike.

By a radar detector working I mean, can you detect it in my vehicle. The only way I can speed is if I cruize in N down a hill. I loved the drive out west....getting passed by fully loaded transports going up hills.

Hey Dave...... Do those newer radar detectors work? Also, if I happen to have one and it works and the cop turns around to bust my arse....What happens if I whip that sucker out the window before he spots me? Will he take my car in for the tear down? What if they dont find it because its in the ditch? Do I still have to pay to get my car searched by a mechanic if they dont recover anything? All hypothetical mind you LOL

I know what your talking about Roy... I dont mind these kids selling chocolate bars or whatever to raise money for a trip. I get a little annoyed when they just ask for donations though. I stopped shopping at a grocery store here because everytime I went in they always asked if I wanted to donate 2 bucks ontop of what I just speant. I will give a couple bucks for a cancer fundraiser or whatever but they are asking donations for stuff Ive never heard of before. I feel like saying, "why dont you take off 2 dollars from the GST I just paid to donate" I dont like bottle drives either........I save those cases up for months in an attempt to get a free one. Im in the middle of the worst cold snap Ive ever seen. -41 this morning WITHOUT windchill, -52 with. My truck wont even come close to starting, the power has been on\off for the past 15 hours. The best news???? Apparently its all headed towards Southern Ontario. Its my gift to you.

Ive gotta say that I had the same experience with Loomis, I then switched to St Croix. I never had a problem with any of my St Croix stuff but right now I have gotten rid of ALL of it. I have switched most of my gear over to Okuma stuff. Its cheaper, I find almost the same quality, and they will actually fix my stuff when it breaks.

I grew up fishing the area in the summer and I can tell you that the fishing does not stink. You need a good depth finder, there are tons of spots in the middle of nowhere. Cast-Away, was it you that was telling me you frequent Blind Bay?

Stoty, Sundin is playing some of his best hockey this year. I gave up on these clowns a few years ago and started cheering for my B team. When I moved out west in August we purchased a 42 inch Toshiba LCD...no probs yet. 3 weeks ago I purchased another accept Plasma this time and it was an LG. The Plasma has much better picture although it gets ghost images very easily. They were both fairly cheap. Toshiba 1400, LG was reg 1900 and we got it for 1400. The trick is to wait for sales, I never pay full price for anything. I also told them to shove the 3 year deal up the ying yang. The place I shop out here (Visions) has a great program. If you purchase the extended program and never end up using it, they give you a store credit for what the program is worth.

I dont wear one if I go on the ice with a sled...They are uncomfortable to ride in. Stay off thin ice.....it aint rocket science. Not a whole lot of avid snowmobilers get into trouble, its the ice fisherman with sleds (not all). Its the riders that need to be educated on ice conditions. As soon as people think theyre safe because of the suit youll get idiots riding on 3 inches of ice. If you need to use your floater suit when riding your sled then you probably shouldnt have been on the sled in the first place. You can probably count the number of people on one hand who own sleds worth 10 grand on the board. Its fairly easy....check the OFSC trails. If the lake trails are open in the region you can sled on the ice. I never understood why people think its smart to go out on the lake before the trails are open. Ive done some stupid things on sleds but riding on thin ice has never been one of them. COMMON SENSE SAVES LIVES NOT FLOATATION SUITS

The no brainer isnt the suit itself, its staying off the ice until its safe. If you cant cross open water with a sled then IMO you shouldnt be heading out early....wait for the ice to freeze.

This has little to do with the regs but....... Before stocking the great lakes we need to settle some native issues on commerical fishing. It downright painful to watch this happen on the great lakes. Water levels are a big question mark for me aswell.

I will represent the Western folk with a picture posted on another website. I cant believe deer get this big......I wonder if they eat people?
