  1. Many happy returns of the day! Jim
  2. I am not much of a catfisherer John, I have to be honest. But I am sure that we can get together at some point. I am always looking for someone to hit Erie with (when the winds co-operate) in the summer. Hometown, Gerritt, Pure, John F (you can always count on running into Lexxington) we need to exchange phone numbers for the summer. I spent way too many days last summer trying to scrape up someone to fish with (John you retire this summer, no?). Jim
  3. "I am your density"....or whatever he said in Back to the Future. That is the second time I have publicly accosted you Hometown (remember when I yelled at you from the Pier 4 trolley?). We have just proved that advertising works (thats why the government lets you write off your van if you paint your name on it). I'll see you soon! Jim
  4. Hey Burtie, Turkstra's in Dundas has your picnic table kits in. Our wood shop guy just bought six kits for 75$ each (says you can't buy the wood for that money). and the kits is fantastic. Is that close enough for you? Jim
  5. I am in the same boat (tee he he). I think that the season definitely has a bearing on the situation. But as a for instance, I just sat down at the computer to do some work on an on-line course that I am taking and here I am! It's face book for fishermen. I too can hardly wait to post some fishing related stuff. Jim
  6. I don't discount what Kaiser is saying above (welcome by the way), but I always slip it into OD when I get up to hiway speed and know it will stay there for a few hours. Other than that it stays in drive. Jim
  7. Nice report Brother!!! I wouldn't touch one of those with a barge pole, but more power to you! Jim
  8. A thumbs up from me to two Canadian institutions: Canadian Tire and the CAA. I changed the tires this weekend from snows to summers (I have two sets of rims) and on the way out of my driveway ran over a flamin' nail that punctured one of my brand new tires. So I awoke this morning knowing that I could pump the tire using the on-board compressor of my Montana, which I did. The problem is that I killed the battery as I failed to start the engine as I did so (ran the compressor off of the battery). Enter the CAA; They showed up within 15 minutes of me calling and got me going so that I could run to Canadian Tire, where they fixed the puncture in the tire or free (the main reason I buy tires there. It works everywhere.). CT gets slagged loads here (and usually rightly so) but I'm here to tell you that all is well at the Caledonia branch! Jim While I am in a good mood, how great is it to see Tiger on TV and in contention again?
  9. I'll stop and ask (and maybe take a pic or two) Jim
  10. Talk about threads that need to be locked. Holy doodle!! Jim
  11. Was there someone looking for a trailer not too long ago? I can't remember if it was someone looking for a trailer or someone that had a trailer and was looking for a boat (I did a search but it didn't turn up anything). At any rate, I passed one on Hwy 6 between Mount Hope and Caledonia. PM me if you need more info. Jim
  12. What a sweetheart! That video is priceless. Thanks for sharing it. Jim
  13. What a find man! This is like that RUSH song about finding the old car at grandad's farm. Good luck. Jim
  14. Who doesn't?
  15. There's an announcement section? Jim
  16. Let me know if you can't find a kit. Perhaps the construction teacher at your local high school would be interested in building you one (Highland the good). Jim
  17. I never was a big fish eater of any kind, and I too had a bad experience with gagging on fish bones. Hanging with my B-in-Laws though has got me hooked on eating perch and walleye. What I am not good at yet is cleaning them (only due to lack of practise). I am watching them closely when they clean and when I get some confidence will take knife in hand. First Walleye trip is at the end of May and I can't wait Jim
  18. What kind of shop do you run, Bernie? I was under the impression that you built boats. Based on your photos you guys do a lot more than that. Jim
  19. I've got to be honest Spiel, a little more notice might have helped. Jim
  20. Steve is right dude. There is a time when you have to look within and say "did I screw up?" and when you are outnumbered a bajillion to one, the answer is usually "YES". Jim
  21. Thanks for thinking of me G. I've got plans unfortunately, but may pop by for a drink and to support the cause. Best wishes to all in case I don't make it. Jim
  22. Is it my imagination or have there been a lot of locked threads as of late? Jim
  23. Henry, I click on that Mariko Izumi link every time I read one of your posts. I think that I might have issues, but I pray that you never quit posting. Jim
  24. The way picture posting had gone on the board as of late I am predicting a six page discussion on whether it's a Dodge or not. Jim
  25. Mucho appreciatto, hirk. Jim
