Hey all I thought I would post this as many of us are out enjoying this warm weather on the water down hear on LSC we already lost one young girl. There canoe flipped her boyfriend made it back to shore but she did not they were close to shore and only 4' of water it looks like the water temps were to cold for her An 18-year-old woman who drowned after a canoeing mishap in Lake St. Clair, near Puce, has been found. Police recovered Amy Wagner's body from the water Monday afternoon. OPP said she was located in two metres of water, 500 metres off shore, in the area where she was last seen by witnesses Sunday afternoon.

I have been thinking about them for a few years now I guess this year is as good as any to get one for the wife and I. I do have a float suit for cold weather fishing.

I got lucky two years ago I was heading to the lake and noticed that the tire looked weired do I pulled over and sure enough the bearing just let go I did the same as Roy I bought a new hub and changed that one on the side of the road. This year I am replacing the other side and will have two spares.

I went and told the wife this and she laughed at me then told me I should listen to her more as these are the same two stars I have been watching (planets to all others) for a long time now what do I know not much but my I phone has a night sky app that is very cool just hold the phone to the sky and it will show you all the stars and planets and just about anything else except your neighbor.

I like my Abu big game 7000 I picked it up last summer for $149 in the US I still have my old 7000 but like the new one better it has off set gears and power handle. The 7000's are bigger then you 5501.

We did the same things in the early 80's with wire spreaders we would add three twister tails to them and slam the silver bass most of the time we used two tails when they were on fire

You have a lot of great info here to start with. I can suggest that you don't need top of the line everything to start. I would suggest going to CTC and getting the three pack long nose pliers they go on sale all the time and have rubber coated handles. For bolt cutters CTC puts them on sale for $4 they do the trick for getting started you don't have to buy $50 kinpex to start. Look around as nets are sold all the time or take a heavy non coated salmon net buy some rubber coating and dip it then pull it out be sure to open the net up so it hardens in the open position. For rods look at etackle.ca they have good starting musky rods for good prices.

We had our trailer just down the road from there the wife and friends loved going to Sparta there is a candle store they have the best candles Spartaberry is awesome

LSC is not far away and depending when your down here we could hit the lake what a better way for her to get away then have you gone fishing
