  10. trolling crank baits work amazing down here most of the time running them 5-8' down using weight and line length to get to your desired depth. Colors black perch,Special Perch,Frog patterns, walleye, pike scale will cover the main colors Dont be afraid to run bucktails they are also killer here and if the fish are on a bucktail bite hold on they will light up using kiel weights or heavy 4-10oz weight ahead of your top swivel to keep your line from twisting is a must I also only use steel seven strand wire for them it will not twist up like floro or other leaders when running 4-8mph they spin alot also adding a swivel to the bucktail witha split ring helps the line twist big time. Coors that we run most of the time. Confusion,Bleeding Perl,Electric black,Fire tiger,Ice,Pearl will cover the basics for them. We run alot of wash rods using heavy weights again 6-16oz to keep the lure in the wash just inches to a couple feet back of the prop. You can also run the bait at the back of the wash where the white water ends behind your motor. For running boards we will run 2oz 40' back usually to start or clean and 40'back just to see where they might be for the day. Watch your graph and see where the bait is put your lures just above the bait and work it. We use longer leaders then most places usually 5-6' this way you can attach your weed guard or weight 6' ahead of your baits to catch the weeds and keep them running clean. Check your baits often to make sure they are running clean not much worse then fishing with someone who ill not clean there lines and whe they do its full of weeds what a waist of time. Like Pete said trolling from the hump east and west is a good starting point 14FOW is a good starting point keep moving until you find them if you get one fish stay in the area and work it as there will be more. Hope that helps some.

  14. Like others I use 2L bottles or rectangle bottles like sunny D been using them for ever and a day. I use 2 old 500ml water bottles in my lunch to keep it cold I re freeze them daily still no leaks they gave been around for a few years
  15. Brian I hope they are there tomorrow I'm going to see if I can get the Gopro set up just right it will be my first attempt but I don't have the flat lens for the waterproof housing
  16. Well I made it our for my musky opener. I did not boat any slime but I did get to watch some acrobatics 2nd cast I had a high 30's- low 40" musky come flying out of the water after it missed my bull dog on the out side turn of my figure 8 it came back and was HOT for 2-3 8's then left. I had two other good follows but no takers. I did have a few schools of sliver bass hammer my baits it was awesome to have a school from 10-30 silvers chasing my bait on the figure 8. I had never had this many silvers act like that before it was very cool I wish I had my Gopro set up to catch it maybe tomorrow.
  17. I canciled my leafs TV and deleted my leafs app maybe 2019 I will turn them back on again. I must say THANK YOU to the leafs for the start of last season as dad got to pass away with them on a good start towards the cup. I have heard him rolling around on the shelf here at home he must be watching them from the other side.
  18. Dan I agree with you i am to. Last summer it took my uncle Don short notice he lasted months after finding out. Dad lost his battle last november on the 20th. A amazing friend and kinda mentor to myself had a short battle that he lost two weeks after dad. Then June 4th my wife just lost her dad after a 7 day fight for his life with brain cancer he did not know about until may 26th. So cancer can flip off anytime. Dad always donated his time and efforts to the fight and I have been and will continue to do the same
