  1. Rich, you should now have an easy time making this decision
  2. Lots of shallow weedy reefs to cast in the north end Mike!
  3. Try calling Riverside Lodge in Bobcaygeon, they're on the canal with boat access to Pigeon Lake.
  4. Mono will stay in the release clip better. Brain is ideal for Dipsey Divers.
  5. I have a 90 hp Yamaha 4 sroke. I was about to start buying oil from somewhere like CTC, I figured a quality 10w30 like Mobil One would be fine. Doug Nagtegal from Bay City Marine spoke at our club in the spring, one of his recomendations was to stick to the Marine grade oils that are sold by Merc, Yamaha,Honda...They are formulated for the specific conditions of marine use...I decided to stick to Yamaha 10w30 4 stroke oil. Though I'm sure regular good quality 10w30 would be fine, why mess with a $10,000 Outboard...
  6. Real nice fish and kudos to you for being more concerned with a successful release than a measurement!
  7. I have always been treated extremely well by Doug and Clarence at Bay City Marine. I've never bought a boat from them, but when I'm in the market for an upgrade(dreamboat) thats where I'll go. On that note, I will never return to Don Hyde Marine in Hagersville where I bought my Yamaha F90 in 2005.
  8. Please report this to the Ministry of the Enviroment! there is a hotline to report poluters!
  9. I just bought the 8' TopnTail Legend Tourney. Yes they're pricey, are they nicer than the Premier? Absolutely. Namely much lighter, especially the split grip. Now Raf, what have you got against the Smurfs??? Hefty Smurf was obviously a closet Homosexual, but otherwise they were a peaceful bunch of little forest dwellers...
  10. Pigeon was 63-68 degrees a week ago...
  11. Yep, catching that many Bass before the opener and saying you were fishing for Sunfish doesn't cut it with me. Some might call it poaching.
  12. I use the turtle wax stuff from Canadian Tire, the one with the bruch attachment, the brush is no good, get a good stiff bristle cleaning brush. Spray and scrub!
  13. Generally, the more you spend, the lighter and nicer the rod. I bought my first St Croix Legend Tournament Muskie rod yesterday, its a thing of beauty!!!
  14. Its as much about adjusting the trim, as it is about adjusting the throttle.
  15. If you're after Largemouth, there is acres of weeds in the south end! In the north end try Nogies Creek.
  16. Waving at another driver cause they are driving the same brand/model is dumb.
  17. You could try getting over it and worrying about something important...
  18. Congrats! Nothing in life is as amazing as seeing your first child come into this world! Interesting name choice! A good family friend who's been gone some years now was from Denmark and his name was Kaj. I always liked it and if I were to have another Son that would be his 1st or maybe 2nd name.
  19. Asking this question means you have not used a casting rod/reel for its intended purpose very much. When it comes to casting lures such as spinnerbaits and crankbaits(Bass or Muskie sized) you can not beat a Baitcast rod/reel. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with sticking to a Spinning outfit if thats what works for you.
  20. Redrock, that cabin was rebuilt a few years back...
