  1. I thought I saw something last week when I was filling out my tax forms - something about "Did you buy a boat in the last year and did not pay taxes" - saw something to this effect on NetFile but didn't see anything in the forms??
  2. Want to install a sonar at bow of boat. Bought the attachment for the trolling motor but realized the cable can't be wrapped up and around the shaft because of the Grip Glide. Any ideas how to solve this problem...without buying a different TM! Thanks for your help, CM
  3. I bought one of the BP 2-man shelters (regular one not the insulated one). It's only 45 lbs. Used it last week - fair bit of snow on the lake I was on but it wasn't too bad to pull. I don't think I'd want to pull it around for a full day if there was a lot of snow on the lake but if you're going to stay in one or two spots it's ideal - lots's of room. One drawback is that in heavy winds it may tip over if you don't have enough weight in the sled (but if your sitting in sled it's not a problem) It does weigh less than the Clam FIsh Trap. CM
  4. I actually bought the charger on the weekend - my battery showed it was only used 75% and charged the remaining 25% in under 3 hours. It does not shut off itself BUT it does stop overcharging so you can leave it on and attached to the battery for some time after it reaches 100% without any problems. One question - I was reading the manual for it and it said you should connect a 2 ft peice of 6 Ga wire to the negative terminal and then conect the charger clamp to this - does anyone do this or does anyone know why you just can't connect the negative clamp directly to the battery?
  5. Anyone know of any public (i.e., free) ramps to launch a boat in the Southern Georgian Bay area (Waubaushene, Port Severn, Honey Harbour areas)? Thanks for your help, CM
  6. Longear Sunfish - pumpkinseeds have a red spot on the operculum while longears do not. Bluegills have blue to the edge of the operculum whereas longears have an operculum rimmed in white (similar to pumpkinseed). Greens have a much bigger mouth than longears as well. Longears are more prevalent in southern Ontario compared to Pumpkinseed and bluegill.
