Even though I never had the pleasure of meeting Joanne I have been around here long enough to know she was obviously a great friend to many and a great contributor here, so sorry to hear this news, my condolences Paul.

Nice thing about Alumacraft is no corporate alliance, get whatever powerplant you want on it....Yamaha, Merc, Suzuki, Honda, Evinrude... If you can find a new Lund and a new Legend equipped the same way for a similar price for gosh sakes buy the LUND!

Most of the posters that engage in vigorous political debate here weren't around when this site was at its best, and guess what? Fishing was discussed primarily!

I have a 16' Lund, I upgraded from a 12v 55# to a 80# Terrova about 7 years ago...I had to put the two batteries in the main bow compartment as the front 'battery' compartment wasn't big enough. It works but I wish there was somewhere else for the batteries...Didn't really compromise the space, but they are under the solid middle part of the deck and hard to get at... I would never have anything less than an 80# on a 16'er now....Love it!

Did the actual floor in fresh plywood and vinyl about 5 years ago. This faze is casting decks, rod lookers, console...maybe...

So after several winters of talking myself out of doing it I finally ordered a roll of carpet for my Lund. Any tips from those that have done this appreciated. I plan on replacing the wood as well. Is regular contact cement the best thing to use? There's a vinyl on my consoles under the windshield I'd like to replace as well, any thoughts on what to use?

I'm sympathetic, I have a 14 yr old Comfortmaker high efficiency. Recently spent $1300 on it, had a week or two to pull the trigger on a new one and get that $1300 off the price...Didn't do it, hope I don't regret it!
