  1. I dont see any use in weighing any sort of fish, unless you've got a potential for the IGFA books...length and girth measurements give you better indication of size,as well as age.
  2. Is that not a massasauga rattler?
  3. Fantastic trip. You guys hit some incredible wally fishing by the sounds of it. And yeah, bush beans are beyond awesome!!!
  4. Great stuff. Buckhorn is definitely a 'ski factory
  5. Time to call in mayor quimby
  6. I'm right handed and couldnt imagine using a right hand retrieve baitcaster. Even using righties for trolling is very awkward, and i couldnt imagine switching hands every cast...
  7. What an awesome trip. The fishing is just an afterthought when youre on adventures like that.
  8. Yeah today was brutal. Nifty little spot though
  9. Diamond lake is in lady evelyn smoothwater PP, and likely fits what youre looking for. Very remote with endless portages and some great fishing oppurtunities from what i understand (i still have not been). I would call the staffhouse and get some information!
  10. Awesome stuff. Ive had similar days on buckhorn. Used to love fishing there
  11. Im seeing some huge steelhead in the mix! Nice work
  12. Well shes already in the shop with what i think is a busted ignition actuator...love how easy these trucks are to work on
  13. Not many better ways to spend a day then that
  14. Triple headers of screaming kings are the best kind of chaos
  15. Good stuff jeremy! Bon voyage and swing around here next winter
  16. Hmmm...looks like i should get it looked before assuming its going to kick in when i need it. Thanks for posting
  17. Just bought an 89 xlt lariat 150. So far it seems to be a great truck...low kms for the age and relatively rust free (clearly well maintained) with the awesome torquey 302. Its a 2 banger but its got the trac loc system. Ive been trying to get some information on these rear ends but cant find too much. Ive seen them described as positrac as well as a limited slip style rear end, but cant seem to really distinguish what mine is. I figured at least a few of you would have had some experience with these trucks... Thanks
  18. Theres many reasonable priced lodges on kipawa. Cant answer your question only that you wont have a problem finding a decent, pet friendly place.
  19. Awesome stuff. You sure dialed in a bunch of beauty for your first time on such a big piece of water.
  20. Very nice photo. Im lucky living in the north end of the ottawa river valley i can watch eagles off my back porch many days of the week.
  21. Its july in the kawarthas...itll be very weedy. Lower buckhorn is not too bad from my (limited) experience though.
  22. Good stuff! Looks like you had an awesome time. The bugs have certainly been terrible the last 2 or so weeks.
  23. I can think of many instances where i was without electronics and wouldve benefitted greatly from it, and conversely can think of just as many trips where i was equipped and didnt have a use for it. Itll certainly help you figure out a new body of water much quicker
  24. Ive already started accepting payments from hunters...hope you're OK with this. Start cutting trails, please.
  25. Oh, i dont miss those days. Now i feel bad for complaining about having to drive into north bay at 'rush hour' today
