  1. Great, Thanks for the info Joey!
  2. Nice. I guess I should be glad I didn't go today, but I am itching big time! Joey, how bad would you say the walking conditions are as of today?
  3. Go and get yourself a Dobyns Champion. Colours match, great finish, and the rods are awesome as ever!! At 230 - 260, it's a bit better than spending 300-400.
  4. Nice stuff Gentlemen! To know that it feels like a whitie before you get a chance to see it?! AWESOME.
  5. Just don't look down at me when I fish with my Pfluegers, (and maybe slam a few good fish too)
  6. I don't think it's a good thing to admit, but I think I might be a Pflueger guy. (I think most people only claim to be a Shimano/Daiwa guy) If you ask me, I'll take the Patriarch any day of the week. Lighter, solid. Keep in mind I've only fondled them at the stores. Lol I own 3 pflueger reels and 1 shimano and 2 Daiwas.. And if you ask me to compare a Pflueger President against a Shimano Sahara, the Pflueger is actually much better than the Sahara. I also own Pflueger's top end BC, and I feel those are bulletproof too.
  7. That's pretty bad, and Basa is sold here pretty regularly!!! EWWW!
  8. I have the Great Lakes version of Navionics, and it includes sparrow lake and in terms of detail, it is about the same as any of the other lakes on this map. I don't guarantee that the Canada version will have it. My maps cover to just before Six Mile and there's pretty much none of the Muskoka lake maps in there
  9. I see there's a slick jig fish in there too! I saw your video on the special way to rig minnows onto the hook on youtube. Awesome tip! I got a couple of them too, but haven't gotten a fish on them yet, maybe this weekend...You've inspired me to fish them extra hard this weekend in hopes of getting a fish on them!
  10. Man, I was waiting for this report. I should have went on Saturday even if it meant only fishing a few hours.
  11. Hopefully these monster companies keep Quality Control in check after buying companies. I never had any experience with them, but sebile does have some good looking stuff. Shame on the people that sell jitterbugs now!
  12. Some very nice fish you got there! What's worse is that you are catching quality fish on things that I've yet to have caught a fish on!!! Thanks for sharing!
  13. NICE! I had my shot my only keeper fish yesterday, but lost it just before the hole.
  14. That's a first...I've been using p-line spectrex in 10lbs and no problems there. You'll probably also get a lot of people telling you they like PP, Rapala braid for ice too. I really dislike the ice you get on the line though. For me, unless I'm fishing more than 70FOW, I will not use braid. I thought Duracast was terrible when I got a spool of the softwater stuff. 24lb test braid equaled 12lb mono. The line numbers on your link looks better, but I don't recall how much.
  15. Good Stuff Joey! Glad you guys didn't get hurt. Did you get any fish yourself?
  16. I'd like to think of it as something like Angler A caught a bunch of fish that lived downtown, and Angler B caught a bunch of them that lived across town in the slums. Both sides of town housed a bunch of obese fish though. There are a bunch of people that average out near the top on most tournaments..And the Leafs don't lose every game either! Lol.
  17. Hahaa, I hope they will actually make you skunk once in a while so it actually feels real. I'd be interested in the missed hooksets and snags too!
  18. That is some weird stuff going on there. Anyone know where this is from? Their tongues are kinda weird too!
  19. Found this on another forum, which apparently the guy copied off another and didn't give credit to the other guy! LOL! I'm not one to plagiarize, so I'll quote it all, minus the MLA Bibliography. Originals can be found on: Copying Guy's Post Original? Just something to think about for the next 20-ish weeks before bass opens.
  20. Is that the absolute most amount of money that you want to spend on a fishfinder? My buddies always say my black and white fishfinder is hard to read when we're on the ice now! Either way, if I were you, I would get one with downscan because it saves so much thinking if you don't have to interpret anything. You really can't pick a wrong one there of those two though. You're practically choosing between a Shimano or a Daiwa right now. Lol.
  21. Hey PITB, As far as I know, your Sol is the most finesse of the reels you have. I don't know if you can expect throwing weights you would with a pixy, but I'm guessing shakey heads and stuff would be no problem. As for the rest of the reels, you should be able to handle all sorts of baits with those reels. Anywhere from plastics all the way to flipping, depending on what line you put on the reel.
  22. Did you guys happen to notice that nothing by Spro, besides the Little John and swimbait series, looks original? They all seem to be blatantly copying what megabass has and then sells it for a slightly lower price. BPS house brand plastics? I don't think there's a single one that they didn't copy. Designs are constantly "borrowed", it just seems that if you make something look the exact same, sell for cheaper, you will be making lots of money. Have to admit I'm guilty for helping some of the copying companies though.
  23. Looks like a fun day out! WTG Joey!
  24. Awesome report dude! I miss softwater fishing bigtime!
