I'd skip both of those and just go to a simple jig/twister tail setup. Probably the most versatile bait out there and a killer for walleyes. Dropshotting and wacky rigging are more of a presentation for bass.
Keeps the hours off the main, nice insurance policy if you have an issue with the main, sips fuel. What's even better is using the Terrova up front for steering and the kicker at the same time.
Winds were crap, got two until I got bounced off the Sound, lol. That's fishing for ya! Really hard to stay vertical with the Terrova out of the water 50% of the time
I've had really good luck slow rolling spinnerbaits right off bottom in really rocky areas, say 10-17ft or so. Sound stupid but it works (at least in the one lake I fish)
