  1. Selective harvest is the key, regardless if it's out in the lake or in the rivers.. Keep those stockers, that's EXACTLY what they are for.... table fare.
  2. Palomar or the Nanofil knot, either will work just great with braid.
  3. Good job Steve! Sweet kitties!
  4. I like BPS.. I get to drop in on the way home from work, check out some new gear, maybe buy a few things etc.. I really can't complain about anything..
  5. 13hrs to Nakina one way. Not really a place you go for 4 days unless you REALLY enjoy driving, lol.
  6. We don't need up to date fishing reports every single time someone goes on the river. Seriously, wait a week or so until conditions are crap then post up about your success. Drives me crazy.
  7. 2hrs north of Barrie? You'll still have ice and lots of it. Bring you're ice fishing gear!
  8. You can't cross private property in order to fish a public waterway. Even if you want to walk around a nasty part of a river, step foot on private property without permission and you'll be trespassing. I also agree that public water shouldn't be allowed to be surrounded by private property offering zero public access.
  9. Rising? Bring your flyrod the next time!
  10. Oh boy, that must have been a great surprise!
  11. Got the Lund out today for the first time in 2012. No crappies, but a few dink perch. Water was 33 degrees, a wee bit to cold for them just yet
  12. I'd probably listen to Wayne when it comes to rivets, screws and anything you want to stay together while in flight
  13. Put a rubber cap over it so it doesn't snag on anything and leave it be.
  14. People think they can sell stuff for 90% of it's retail value... Some stuff you can get close to retail for, but most you can't. Some people can't wrap their heads around this concept. Especially the guys that drop 10k into their cars, then think they'll see that 10k during the sale, lol!!!
  15. I don't think anyone is going to be surprised that the fish will be done and gone by the time opener gets here. Opener is for residents anyhow, screw the steelhead, lol.
  16. To be honest a DSLR isn't for you, these are semi-pro level cameras (Depending on how much you want to spend) I'd get a great Point and Shoot with a long optical zoom, turn it on, shoot away, super simple and great pics to boot.
  17. Hopefully I can capture a few of these beauts this weekend with my 60D!
  18. Nice fish! They also hate the mud btw Try to not let them flop around in it. A little cotton tailing glove works well.. Keep one in your waders.
  19. I've heard the south shore has been steady. Not completely on fire hot, but decent.. This warm weather will do nothing but help.
  20. Too bad whities and lakers closed yesterday
  21. If people still have the money to buy them, they won't be going down in value anytime soon.
