No reason why wax worms shouldn't work as well. Presentation is the same whether you're ice fishing or not. I'll give them a shot once the ice is gone and report back!
It's so funny how comfortable you feel depending on the setup.. I can't imagine fishing a baitcaster with my left hand on the reel handle.. Walking the dog topwaters with my left hand wrapped around the reel and my right hand on the handle. Then the other end of the spectrum.. Spinning setup fishing for brookies and using a 'pause jerk pause' motion with my left hand on the handle and my right hand on the reel seat/rod.
Silly when you think about it!
Cliff, I was thinking very similar patterns to that. Live emeralds, small tube jigs, even some of the steelhead jigs I tie would probably work.. You ever use wax worms?
Sweet!! I was actually thinking on making a thread about Spring crappie patterns.. I've got a lake that I know has a bunch of crappie in it, but I still can't catch the damn things, lol.
Carlyle is not going to get rid of a 6ft, 200lb forward for Kadri...Frattin has been playing good. I think Kadri should be up with the big club, but not at the sacrifice of Frattin.
Famous last words, lol.
Kinda reminds me of people spending 50k on a car, and not dropping $800 on a set of snow tires/rims when the white stuff gets here.
Yeah, my good buddy Dave pointed it out in the last thread before it was deleted. A lot easier to figure things out... It's too bad they just don't come out and say it in the normal regs! I was down in Coldwater the other day, river was ragging after all that rain!
You gotta stop eating salmon and trout from Lake O BB!!! Anytime I fish the southern shore of Lake E, I'll bring the oldman home a few small shakers (2-3lbs) he absolutely loves them. Actually everyone I've given those fish to says the same thing.
