  1. Never doesn't mean it won't. It only takes one time
  2. You sound like the kind of guy who would go out in the middle of Lake Erie with no kicker to get you back home when your main fails
  3. I've caught them before, but never more then 1 or 2 when I was actually targeting them (Tossing tubes for smallies is a great example, lol)
  4. Yup a little tube would most likely be the ticket!
  5. No reason why wax worms shouldn't work as well. Presentation is the same whether you're ice fishing or not. I'll give them a shot once the ice is gone and report back!
  6. It's so funny how comfortable you feel depending on the setup.. I can't imagine fishing a baitcaster with my left hand on the reel handle.. Walking the dog topwaters with my left hand wrapped around the reel and my right hand on the handle. Then the other end of the spectrum.. Spinning setup fishing for brookies and using a 'pause jerk pause' motion with my left hand on the handle and my right hand on the reel seat/rod. Silly when you think about it!
  7. Cliff, I was thinking very similar patterns to that. Live emeralds, small tube jigs, even some of the steelhead jigs I tie would probably work.. You ever use wax worms?
  8. Sweet!! I was actually thinking on making a thread about Spring crappie patterns.. I've got a lake that I know has a bunch of crappie in it, but I still can't catch the damn things, lol.
  9. Carlyle is not going to get rid of a 6ft, 200lb forward for Kadri...Frattin has been playing good. I think Kadri should be up with the big club, but not at the sacrifice of Frattin.
  10. Wayne, after looking at those Bahama pics, I think you got the short end of the stick in that deal!
  11. This is why you gotta shotgun those beers ASAP!! LOL
  12. Supercooling is an amazing thing
  13. Famous last words, lol. Kinda reminds me of people spending 50k on a car, and not dropping $800 on a set of snow tires/rims when the white stuff gets here.
  14. Vance, the URL goes inbetween the IMG tags... You've got http:// on the outside of the tag..
  15. Second link under the picture... Not really hard to find if you actually click it
  16. If you do a lot of trolling the kicker is definitely worth it.. Think of all those low rpm hours you'll keep off the main motor..
  17. Ikea shopping bag would work for a 16ft boat.
  18. That river blows out easily. Doesn't take much. Especially with the rain they had Sat night.
  19. Yeah, my good buddy Dave pointed it out in the last thread before it was deleted. A lot easier to figure things out... It's too bad they just don't come out and say it in the normal regs! I was down in Coldwater the other day, river was ragging after all that rain!
  20. Yup, Hay Bay on opener is a very good place if you after walters.
  21. Yup, those littler stockers are mostly feeding on insects.. They'll definitely taste better then a fish that's been feeding on smelt it's entire life
  22. You gotta stop eating salmon and trout from Lake O BB!!! Anytime I fish the southern shore of Lake E, I'll bring the oldman home a few small shakers (2-3lbs) he absolutely loves them. Actually everyone I've given those fish to says the same thing.
  23. All the links are available via the MNR site below. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/LetsFish/Publication/STEL02_163615.html
  24. Great article BB. The big lake definitely coughs up cow after cow!
  25. Most of their stocking is for put and take (For the most part).
