  1. Pinch those barbs while you're at it boys! Great fish.
  2. Alright, so you're going right through Barrie. It's an option if you can't find anything else. Also Epps on Hwy11 as well, just outside of Orillia.
  3. Where are you heading? If through Barrie, stop in at Rack and Reel before you head up 11 or the 400.
  4. Sheet metal screws from Canadian Tire are cheaper and work just as good. I've got a bunch of them on my G4's.
  5. Gore-text, lol lawsuit.
  6. That moose was pretty beat trying to get out of the swingset (You could hear him breathing extremely heavy).. CO did the right thing..
  7. Ah tips, not tip sections Looks like I misunderstood you..
  8. Whoever takes the maiden voyage better have a life jacket on, lol!
  9. The giant eye on the Atlantic is a dead giveaway, as is the long snout.
  10. I didn't see any blood, so I assumed it was there before you caught it. I've seen a few pike with that exact issue, they didn't seem to be bothered by it, lol. Great looking fish man!
  11. That bracket is not meant for travel, I'm fairly certain it's meant for service.. The proper way to do it is a transom saver, they are cheap and take all the load off the transom and put it on the trailer (where it belongs) When I've got it installed on my 115 Yamaha, the motor isn't all the way down, just a bit past half way.. maybe 30 degrees or so?
  12. Rinse it with clean water and be done with it.
  13. Is that a piece of gill hanging out from the plate? Can't beat the look of those fish.
  14. Mike, great pics as always!
  15. Put load guides on our ShoreLand'r as well as a transom saver after bringing it home. Installation was super simple.
  16. Head to Simcoe, follow the crowds.
  17. I did the front end once (LCA's with new ball joints, also a new steering rack and tierods), other then that 4 timing belt jobs, a few sets of pads/rotors (more on the rear) and that's about it, hell it still had the original clutch in it when I pulled it off the road and parted it out... Most reliable car I've ever owned. My best tank was 1428kms on 55L's.. That's a tad under 60MPG US.. I do all my own work, so I save quite a bit if I do have to do work on my car or truck.. A TB job will run you around $800 at the dealer, I do that same job for $250 in parts and 4-5hrs of my time.

    Fall Colours

Nice shots Dan! Starting to see a bit of colour down here, but nothing like that!
  19. JB's won't give you a new tip, I doubt Angling Specialties would either. They might send the rod in for you, but there's no over the counter exchange.
  20. Send it in directly to St.Croix, doesn't get much easier then that. I sent a busted Avid casting rod in along with $20US for return shipping, got a brand new one back in about 2 weeks. Here's an excerpt from their site. To save freight costs, Canadian Customers may ship rods to the address below. Please place all paperwork inside the shipping carton because customs officials will remove paperwork on the outside of the carton. St. Croix Rods c/o FedEx Trade Networks 7075 Ordan Drive Mississauga, Ontario L5T 1K6 Canada
  21. I can't imagine the crowds you guys up there because of it, lol.
  22. Yeah, ice everywhere was crap last season.. I think Simcoe was froze over completely for maybe 3 days total!! I'd love a nice long winter, gotta make use of the snowmachine!
  23. Some of you guys need to experience Burt, lol. Bring your hockey equipment!
  24. I don't cure my roe, unless it's loose eggs I'm going to use as candy.. Either vacuum seal it, or freeze it in water.
  25. Yup, most of those guys don't like the cold weather I've still got that roe in the freezer with your name on it!
