  1. Wrong species, but the rod going off was nice. 42in on the tape. Ate a 13in Grandma in fire tiger down 18 over 36. ]
  2. I gotta do St.Clair, but I wanna cast in the summer. Combat fishing definitely isn't my thing.
  3. LOL! A muskie is a muskie
  4. 2 year thread bump folks. He's not going anywhere in July I'm thinking, especially Florida lol
  5. I've got a 9'6 Chaos Tackle Shock and Awe, combined with a Tranx 500. Even with 100lb PPro I laugh at the distance I can toss some baits. Especially big rubber, they go forever.
  6. Nice man! Any bigguns?
  7. I have a new/old float reel that's jealous of all the muskie fishing I've been doing. Haven't even thought about a steelhead this fall.
  8. Dan, at least the scenery is nice
  9. I should probably just start trolling harnesses for walleye in the spring, I'm guessing more muskies are caught that way then any other lol Put another few hours on the Bay today, went shallow found some weeds and about a 35in pike who inhaled a Bulldawg. No muskies. Back at it this weekend.
  10. Another 10hrs today and nada. Tomorrow I'm breaking out the big rubber.
  11. You can easily upgrade the rod holder to make it a 1116 as well. Dual rod holders are mint.
  12. I'd like a few muskie in my boat before the ice comes
  13. You've never fished out of a full console boat have you, lol. I've been as close as 15ft to shore in some spots the last month fishing muskies on Gbay. Full top, pouring rain I'm warm and dry and enjoying myself. I didn't even have to put my Guidewear on. Having the enclosure up and it being windy makes zero difference, with the kicker and Terrova with IPilot Link, it's effortless. Hell I could have a nap out there and touch nothing and just let the boat do all the work
  14. Same water temps in Gbay, 1 guy, 10 hrs, zero muskies lol
  15. And that's the allure of Gbay. You've got a legitimate shot at the next world record. The fish out there are just built differently. I know what the pros are talking about when they mention the mental game, I haven't netted a muskie since the 29th of Sept lol. Maybe I'll go find those giant schools of bait fish and do some jigging today.
  16. I can see the appeal of a tiller, all that deck space, etc. But when the crap weather comes (and it always does) full windshield with a top is the only way to go, especially if you are fishing early or late in the season.
  17. Yup, long leads for sure. I usually run 150ft+ when fishing bows off the boards in Owen Sound.
  18. Skunk out of HH today, but that's Gbay muskie fishing for ya. Weather was mint! Back at it tomorrow, going to try a different section of water.
  19. Inline planner boards if you've got them. If not, go buy some they're cheap.
  20. I'd be fishing in close for browns/steelhead if it were me.
  21. It won't do much for water temps, fish those late fall patterns like you usually would. Hopefully Gbay coughs up a big one for me.
  22. Flying into TBay is nice, especially when flying out of Tbay, lol.
  23. Be weary of the zero possession limit if you're fishing above the Pine and downstream of the Boyne. All steelhead must be released.
  24. Those 50s are tough nuts to crack
  25. It's a boat, you do what you've gotta do.
