You just answered your own question. Braid does twist, but it doesn't have the memory like flouro/mono does. You can also very easily 'untwist' the last 15ft of line or su by pinching it with your fingernails.
Great trucks, crappy frames, crappy mileage, bulletproof engines/trannies. That about sums up a Taco.
If I were looking for a 'old' new truck, it would be a Sierra 1500, 5.7/4.8 with the 4L60/65E.. Will run forever with minimal worries.
Bell does have great coverage, especially out in the not so popular areas. On our last fly-in it appears they extended their coverage north of the Sault (although spotty at best).. No complaints from me. Still crap service around Nipigon however :(Tbaytel only)

However, mounting a standard transducer to the Minn Kota is cake.. Ziptie the line up, put it inside in the thick Minn Kota wire then run the wire to your mount.. I run a HB 747c upfront on the Lund, graph pops right off the mount, that's the only thing that's permanent.
