  1. Glenner, your story reminds me of when I failed to tie up the boat two summers ago on White Otter Lake. Sand beach, awesome camping site, we had 6 people there, so 3 boats. I beached our boat to the far right, my buddy Al's boat to the left and Steve's boat to the left of his. Super crazy storm that night, howling winds, just one of those crazy nights. I wake up at about 3am and gotta take a leak. I walk down to the water with my flashlight and the boat isn't there. I'm thinking, this isn't good our Lund is now up on some rocks getting smashed to bits because I forgot to tie the damn thing off!!!!! I look over and it is snuggled nicely inbetween Al and Steves boat, even had the bumpers out so zero scratches. I laughed good and hard at that one (And didn't bother telling the oldman either!) Don't ask me how that even happened, the physics behind it just make me shake my head.
  2. Insane people come in all ages Customs was notified, he's done with it.
  3. Another reason I really like flip over huts.
  4. At least he didn't do something stupid like try and be a super hero. Drop them off, and get outta there. Let customs deal with them.
  5. Left about $2,000 worth of camera gear sitting on a boat ramp in Toronto. Buddy went back about 30 mins later and it was still there.
  6. Eh, really what's the big deal... I bet he doesn't forget to do a wee bit of research the next time he goes to a foundation dinner or similar. It's embarrassing but that's about it.
  7. Bugs are extremely weather dependent (as I'm sure you know).. I definitely wouldn't book one place over the other based on the bugs.
  8. What are you going to be fishing for?
  9. Picked up a Shimano Calais 100a, JDM Shimano Antares AR, Shimano Sustain 3000 FE, custom HMX steelhead hardware rod, and lots and lots of tackle. No big plans for 2015, maybe another glass rod for the Antares.
  10. Heh.
  11. If I was Ottawa I'd definitely do deal #2, considering that pick will most likely be McDavid with the way Edmonton is rolling this year.
  12. Phones will never replace in field GPS units. First off, the antennas are completely different. Then you've got things like weather proofing/water sealing, the the battery life issues.. Phone are great when you're sitting on Simcoe, not so much when you're humping through a dense cedar swap 20 miles out of Chapleau.
  13. There were so many awesome wrestlers back in the day.
  14. Ultimate Warrior, no question!!!
  15. Eakins would go back down to the Marlies before taking a job in Ottawa, lol!
  16. Best thing about the Garmin units is that the maps are easily acquired.
  17. Oh the irony. You're at the bottom of the barrel looking up and still can't get the Leafs out of your head. Perhaps some grief management might help? The one thing the Sens can do is lose, why not go after the 1st pick in the Draft?
  18. ESPN 30 for 30 always has some great stories. One of my fav sports related shows. The Bo Jackson one was probably the best. If you haven't seen it, make a point of it.
  19. I do anytime the rods go in the case.
  20. The best part about Kijiji is that you can simply ignore those emails. Some people get so bothered by them, I just laugh and click 'delete'..
  21. I use this as well, can't beat the price.
  22. Yup, great show as was 'Hooked' with Mark Kruppa. I usually only watch WFN on Tuesdays.
  23. Never had an issue selling stuff on Kijiji (Even high ticket items $500+).. Sold a TV which was gone in about 30mins, camera gear doesn't last but a few days. No complaints from me. Same experience as a buyer, most people I've met are everyday people like you and me,.
  24. It would be nice if the white bucket brigade that keeps everything under the sun in and out of season got as much spot light as this guy did.
