  1. Some of my suppliers stock it still. I bought some for my trailer interior last year. Central Fairbank Lumber (Toronto) Peacock lumber on Ritson Rd (Oshawa) Britannia Lumber in Mississauga I think has it as well.

  3. I have the jiffy auger. I beleive mine is 85cc and about 37-38 lbs. They do get heavy to carry sometimes. For most people a 2 hp one is good enough. That looks like a decent auger @ a decent price. Buy it, if its no good return it.
  4. Not a good situation at all. My prayers are with his family.
  5. This is a European Pike. I think it was caught in Italy.
  6. Thats actually one hell of a deal. $35 bucks each with ride and all extras. You will be hard pressed to fin d cheaper.
  7. Yours will not for that year. It was the year after 2007-2008 models that have the Trap Link system (round), Maybe even the 2006 later models as well. I have the trap link system and they work very well when you have a few of them together. You can have one made at a canvas shop for very cheap to fit yours, most times cheaper than you can buy one for.
  8. I was told by a Ministry guy that it was due to fishing pressure, lakes could not sistain a healthy population being open for that long. Lets face it Scugug is not exactly a walleye catching paridise come hard water season for most.
  9. This lure came out late last year. I started using them in November of 2007,By mistake I might add as well. I never bought them because they looked pretty. I bought them after a guy at Fishingworld pointed them out to me so I decided to give them a go. I only started using them one day while looking for a snap in one of my bags when I remember buying these and the rest is history. Caught a bunch of fish but there was not enough time to tell how well they worked for me so far late in the season. Then this year I gave them a very good run. Jeff W on the board has seen how they will work in shallow water Kawartha lakes when many others will not. 3 baits not running true out of the box are the first that I have ever heard so far doing so. Like the guy said they are tested often. Some will slip through the cracks. 3 out of millions is not a bad score. They give you that instructin in the box with it for a reason, I'm sure most guys throw it away and then call the lure crap when their knowall attitude fails. I have been posting about them all season. I have posted here as well as many other boards to their success. I have been doing so as to promote a local product. I do agree to lures catching people. Christ I have a room full of them to attest to that. I have waited for $100 crankbaits from overseas. When they get here I give them a very good go with no success. Some of them have fallen apart before the end of the first day. , but I do research them before to do best that I can. I may be fishing them wrong I have fished these in every which way this year while having many other cranks on my other rods side by side. These do work very well when fished right. Not just on the Kawarthas. I caught fish in Quinte, Kawarthas, Northern Ontario, Newfoundland, and Quebec on these so they will work. I never offer an oponion unless I know the bait in question Like I said before I will be glad to take out anyone to prove what I'm saying come softwater season. My 3 cents!!!!
  10. These are one of the best lures I have ever owned. I have hundreds of pics to show how well they work. They have to be fished the correct way though. I have taken a few members on this board this year and they can attest to how well these work. They are coming out with a few nice colors of the Lipless and a new perch color. I'm not just talking out of the corner of my mouth but I have a very large collection of cranks and these are in my top 10 and are almost always tied on one of my rods. I have used them on the east coast for Trout and salmon with great success. Dont bother buying them right now, infact you are welcome to come out with me for the opener on Walleye in May and I will personally show you how well we do with them. Best part is that he is local(Niagra region) If you want toi get them bo to fishingworld and get them. They have the best prices on them. As for the hooks. I'm not sure what happened there but they have premium Diachi hooks. One of the best. They are finely tuned to run with those hooks. You really need to make sure they are the same weight and pretty much an exact match or the bait will not run right. No reason to change them. Give them a call and I'm sure that they wiull replace, great guy to deal with. Most people are amazed at how well they run right out of the box. You must have gotten a couple of bad ones. Like every manufactuer they do have duds. Fact of life. I have $30 cranks that come from Japan that are crap right out of the box with the worst costomer service ever. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewkoppersgoldenshiner.html http://www.tackletour.com/reviewkoppers2009pre.html
  11. I love living here in Toronto. I grew up on the Rock, I have allready cleared my share of freekin snow. Living next to the Neuc plant keeps the snow away, Dont worry, we will be getting hit hard from Buffalo winds coming across the lake soon enough.
  12. 4-6" bud, Give me a call tomorrow when your there.
  13. I got Gas this morning for 67.9 cents
  14. Thats what I noticed about the Clam huts this year. I have a 5600 that I'm selling so I went ot 2 stores to check prices. They are made in china now, not the US and the material seems very inferior. Guess they need to cut back as well.
  15. Dont buy this thing. Very cheaply made and breaks very easily. Personal experience. I have heard of many more complaints.
  16. Love this type of music. Grew up listening to it. Took my wife(Mainlander ) home 2 years ago for her first mummering experience where you get to see this type of music for real. I grew up playing the fiddle, squeezebox spoons and the tinwhistle. Should of seen my wifes face. Great now I'm homesick.
  17. I think I will stick to my Xmas Goose. Them Crp dont look to edible. One of them looks like the ones I saw in Scugog this past year.
  18. Tillers have their place. I grew up using them. Trouting and fishing in the ocean. Most guys back home still mostly use tillers. My grandfather still uses a 16 footer with a 45 evinrude tiller. You get great instant response time on turning or trolling. Sometimes a little harder to see whats up front when loaded though.
  19. Forget everything else. Imagine you were the guy that lived in the other half of that semi. Jeebus. Looks like one of those games that you toss rings for a toy you see at the CNE each year.
  20. I have 2 as well. I use the pole in shallow water mostly when fishing cranks or jigs. I also have the Bass Pro shops one on a cord like line. I went 2 steps further with mine though. I got sick of trying to untangle or fumble with the cord line on those cheap winding line spools. I bought a cheap baitcaster and used a rod handle to attach the retreiver to. 2nd I added stainless chain and more strands, seems to grap quicker. Now I have one that is easy to reel up and stores away in my boat very neatly. They are well worth the money. Remember it usually pays for itself the first time you use it as they are very inexpensive. I also use bell type sinkers with a small cut in the line ring to attach to the line, sometimes all you nees is a little bump to pop them out.
  21. You are never to old. My Grandfather is 96, living in Newfoundland and still rides the Quad runner each moring at the crack of Dawn. Still hunts and fishes and goes to Walmart for a drive and gets Mary Browns chicken every time he goes into the city. Drinks a glass of straight wiskey every night and loves eating fish and I cant wait to take him out again when I go home. Love every minute of it and I hope that I'm able to do the same when I reach his age if I even reach there. Age is just a number
  22. Very nice to see you out there Kerry. Their will always be next season. That one will be bigger next year. I will be out there again in the next few weeks on Balsam mapping low water structure. Dont worry guys I will just have the underwater camera and no fishing gear with me. I do this every year to find new structure to hold fish when the water level goes back up. Water is very clear now and you can find some great spots for next year. I look forward to meeting or fishing with you on St John. I will pm you when we go there in the next week or so to see if you want to go or not.
  23. High 40"s or low 50" after tonight. Cold front comin through tomorrow night. Walleye bite should be good tomorrow. Knock on wood.
