  1. I have a mercury Optimax motor. I always use the Optimax oil but was wondering if there was another brand that is better than that.
  2. They wont be that healthy in there for that long anymore. I have caught another pike in there. Seems to me that they are getting in there more often now. That lake is getting infested with Muskie as well.
  3. You wont have a problem. I have done it a few times with no problem
  4. Thats what I thought. I was just trying to settle a question that came up. I have misplaced the regs. Thanks man.
  5. Just wondering if the slot size is still in effect now that the new regs call for 3 under 18 and one over. I dont keep them anyways but just wondering.
  6. Black flies in that area are horrible. Had the Kayak out there last week and they were everywhere. Wilborforce/Harcourt area around Baptiste Lake are infested. Buy one of those cheap $10 bug hats and you will be fine. We were trout fishing there mid week and found the het to be the best peice of equipment we had.
  7. We did pretty good there today. We were fishing shallow again. 6-10 ft or water with Crankbaits. Water was pretty murky in spots. Only got a few on Jigs. Weed growth is 1 ft below the surface right now in most areas. Best bet would be a bucktail or casting along the edges with a Crankbait. Watch out for muskie, they are there as well.
  8. Sweet ride Thats not a car in my mind. Its actually a Truck that looks like a car
  9. With all my kidding aside in the last post. We are just around the corner to all new technology for engines. I had the Hybrid truck. Did not like it at all. Just tune the truck and put a few mods for better fuel economy. Mine runs well and gets more mileage than alot of cars.
  10. Let me know how that works out for him. Love to know. Misfish@!!! I'm with ya on that one. I have a full size Chevy and will always have a full size truck. I hate cars as they are for the Circus clowns. Pack them in their in boys. You have to turn in you card when you resort to a car.
  11. You can carry alot of different stuff on there. Just get the proper setup and you will be fine. Dont be like these guys DUCKTAPE ROOF RACK http://www.funnyhub.com/pictures/pages/duc...-roof-rack.html http://www.funnyhub.com/pictures/pages/duc...-roof-rack.html http://www.funnyhub.com/pictures/pages/big-truck-load.html
  12. Very tough. I managed to get a few on Thursday in the Kawarthas. Worked hard for them. No weeds yet. Walleye were in very shallow water. Got most of them in 4 ft or less. Roaming looking for food.
  13. I bought one last year. The commerical one. I just dont have the patience to do it. Takes almost a full day to detail the dam thing.
  14. Just looking to find someone who does a nice job on cleaning a bass boat carpet. Wondering if anyone had any recomendations. I live in the Toronto area.
  15. Some restrict an d some dont. They had a couple around last year that were 300 horse.
  16. Nice fish. Muskie are far from being extinct on that lake. he sots are everywhere.
  17. Where I grew up they have a dumb way of teaching you. The sots toss you in and make you swim. You either learn to swim or become deathly afraid of the water. Redneck logic of some sorts I guess. I swam. Very easy as it does come second nature to us
  18. Some nice eyes there bud. Looks a little cold still.
  19. I have had this done. Taking the cast off was not a smart idea. I raced when I was younger and have had a steel plat in my wrist as well as a rod in my left leg. It heals but hurts like hell with a drop in temp in the fall. Be smart this time and keep it on and just sit at home till it heals
  20. Awesome report man. Good to see that someone got out.
  21. QUAZZI MOTO BLUEGILL.
  22. My wife would sooner leave me outside than my dogs. I have less roghts than them. Dogs are like family, still they are just dogs but very easy to please. One of my beagles gets angry and hides my shoes when I dont take him out with me. They are funny creatures. I bring them out to the park, or even just to the corner store for milk if I have to, keps them happy.
  23. Should be an awesome weekend. I will be there as well. Good luck
  24. I would truely think or hope this is just a joke. Do not do that as it can result in a serious charge. Not to mention you have no idea what effects you can cause on the dog. The dog for some reason is barking at your friend. Try the giving treats thing, it does seem to work. I have done this before and it will take just a few weeks and everything usually turns out fine. To give the dog pills is not a very wise decision by any means.
  25. Depends on when and where. I have been using the G-loomis series spinnerbait rods and love them. I will throw a spinnerbait in shallow or deep water. Spinnerbaits will cover water real quick. I usually use them for open water smallies or largies on deep weed edges. I like the rods with a soft tip and nice backbone but not to stiff and fast action 7 foot or longer for open water. I will use a 6 footer heavier action around heavy weeds or stumps with a heavier braid or mono. I have gotten use to the lighter rods for 1/4 oz spinnerbaits.I call it finesse spinnerbaiting. I also use a very heavy 7'2" rod for heavier spinnerbaits in very deep water. I will slow roll them with a curado 5 or 3 series baitcaster. Depends on the situation. They are sometimes deadly on open deep water weeds. Shimano has some nice Crucials and compres that are the same. Look at the G loomis rods and buy one almost the same in a cheaper line with the same feel.
