  1. you made THE right decision there Wayne, no doubt for those who's gunnels allow, that by far is the best way to go - very clean & very versatile for sure
  2. I agree - but i dont mind the shootout , but make it 10 minutes of OT first of 4 on 4, most games should be able to end by then.... then have a shoot out if still tied, but eliminate the single point winner gets 2, loser NOTHING
  3. boooyah!!!! go Jersey!
  4. sure wish i was able to "just find" stuff like that in my garage
  5. Lew - I like to make a suggestion Using a Dispey is not a bad idea but I think a much better solution would be an inline planer board. Much simpler to use ( I know you have used them a time or two on others boats before) Will get your crank bait of choice away from the boat ( I assume thats why you want a dipsey) And I think the best board for you would be a small one called a Tru-Trac - not saying the Church or Offshore is a bad choice, but the Tru-Trac is a little bit smaller and can be used on either side of the boat & wont add too much to the "fight of the walleye". That 10 mono set is perfect for this.
  6. 6yrs old 1st walleye - came from Nipissing 8yrs old and first 25lb salmon Lake Ontario
  7. ahh yes Hendricks is cleaning up
  8. locations can shift with the weather & water temps & baitfish - look for boat packs, but keep a respectful distance boards are best early when in 30-40 FOW or less & fish are spooky & you can cover more water with a wider spread
  9. looks good Chris have the riggers been installed yet??
  10. hey Pete is your boat water-ready yet? hope to see ya out for some sliver soon - have a swell day!
  11. check & see what the max. transom weight is: 4 strokes are generally heavier then 2's, could influenece your decision - i know my Crest has a sticker that says "engine weight not to exceed xxx lbs" go 4 stroke man - you'll love it
  12. hmmm how much thought have you given into buying a house with adequate land to put up your own garage?
  13. stellar Bunk - a trip that you , Rob & Jer will never forget!
  14. hey Jamie $400 you can get you a decent grey-scale Lowrance/Eagle or a small colour one - what type of fishing are you mostly going to be doing? Flasher - hard to tell what your reffering to, but there are some fishfinders that now include a flasher page as well ( same thing as what a Vexilar or Marcum does)
  15. ahh yes another win for Hendricks
  16. get out there & find out how it is for yourself
  17. universal sonar definetly the way to go - the design of my Powerdrive & the transducer wire is a bit of pain right now, but i put up with it
  18. have a great day there Norm! its too bad ya cant throw a cast off your own dock on your bday
  19. for my tiller boat Eagle fishmark 320 on the stern & the sonar is at my rear electronics console centre - wired to my cranking battery on the bow I have an Eagle Cuda with a Lowrance bowmount trandsducer & I have this unity wired nicely on its own to the same 12v gel-cell batery that I use for my Vexilar. The Cuda is a cheapy, but it'll serve my current needs for now. I have run both units at the same time this way & never had interferenece issues. I am no expert, but I believe it is when two of the same KHZ transducers are used at once then interference is more likely to occur. Example : a bunch of guys icefishing closer together all using 200KHZ Vexilar transducers. But now many of those units have rejection features. (Someone correct me if I am wrong please) In the Future i'll be moving the 320 up front & have a decent Lowrance GPS combo at the back.
  20. having been on other boats with the Nav chip & the colours - its quite nice
