  6. thanks! I assume the Go train goes to Union, then we'll have to take a connection to the Ex (Direct Energy centre?)
  7. I am thinking about taking my 5 yr old to either one of these upcoming shows. I would like to enhance the experience for him by taking the Go Train in from Burlington. I think going to Sportsmens show at the Ex plays better? Can anyone please make any reccomendations? For the sake of the transit schedule, i think we would be going on the Sat or Sunday. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!

  10. buy a gas one & keep up with the simple maintenance
  11. you can often find berts or traxtech tracks and accessories in the classifieds... good way to save $ + Taxes and its all interchangeable put a mount bracket on your bow for the sonar... when your trolling, can have 2 units at the tiller 1 for Gps 1 for sonar.... that will give you flexibility and a backup if needed 8 or 9.9 hp will be fine for a kicker... i have a 30 hp tiller and wish somedays for a kicker just to relieve my main from the additional hours...
  12. Merry Christmas Lew & family and to TJ, the mod crew + all my OFC buds
  13. i'd like to think that getting 5-6 years out of a set of batteries is a quite reasonable expectation and "benchmark", especially if they cared for & are used 8-10+ months each year almost weekly
  14. another vote for cinnamon rum-nog!
  15. get the tinny... pick your days and fill it to the gunnels with fsh & memories
  16. all my Spin Doctor and Pro Troll flashers have definetly been worth the purchase! ;-) Traded in my old vexilar Fl8 last year for an Eagle 502c combo unit ... more versatile and it will get used 12 months a year Flashers are great if you ice fish often enough to justify the purchase.
  17. a Neil concert is high on my bucket list,,, kicking myself for not making it happen this time around with Crazy Horse
  18. me & a buddies wives are thinking of starting up the "Saturday Morning Fishing Widows Association"
  19. Yup that helps, and yes as mentioned above, tell the wife to stuff the stocking with many gift cards from your fave tackle dealer If you dont end up getting a second rigger, and still want to run 4 rods when the 2 of you are out, I would reccomend 1) donwrigger rod/reel that will hold at least 300yds of 20lb mono 2) 2 diver combos 8-9ft med-med hvy, with either 30lb 7 strand wire or 50lb braid, on mid sized linecounter reels (brand as budget allows)and run Size# 107 Walker Deeper Divers off of these 3) one large sized trolling reel with 100 yds or 10 colours of Leadcore line and a 8/9 foot trolling rod. I see your from Pickering, go to Tightines Warehouse and they'll fill in the rest.
  20. I am a member of both the Strait Line Anglers Club and St Catharines Game & Fish Club. If you click here and look under "other clubs" you will see more great groups in Southern Ontario
  21. in order to help you out, lets begin with: a)does your boat have downriggers and appropriate rod holders already? will you be doing this trolling solo or with others?
