That I do Wayne, but you must have decided to share. The sun is breaking through the dark grey clouds and still no snow. I hope I am not tempting fate. You know how 5 cm ends up being 15cm here.

When you first see the pop up window telling you that you are infected and you should do a scan, that is when you should stop clicking on any windows. After the malware does its fake scan any box you click on will install the malware. It doesn't matter if you click "yes","no" "cancel" or the "X" in the top right of the pop up box. To get out of the situation push and hold down together Ctrl-Alt-Delete but only do it once. (If you do it twice you computer will reboot.) Windows Task Manager will pop up. Click on the "Applications" tab. The fake Anti Malware will probably be running on your browser. See what programs are running. Highlight your browser and select end task. You should see the malware boxes disappear unless you have multiple browser windows open, if you do, then use end task on all of them. This will get you out of the situation before you are infected.

No sun shining now but no snow either.

I also had a great experience with Marcum customer service. The Marcum product I bought was missing a part and after contacting Marcum customer service the item was at my door step two days later. Takes longer than that for me to send a letter to Hamilton. Tom.

I have been to the site a few times today. Latest was just at 3:11pm. I have had no problem and I don't use Rogers, so maybe it is Rogers causing your problem. Tom

I have been looking at underwater camera's for quite a while now and couldn't decide which camera I wanted. All cameras seemed to be the same so just before Christmas as a last resort I decided I wouldn't spend a lot of money and was going to get the Fish Tv7. It had what I wanted and 100ft cable. I was concerned about the infrared lights, viewing screen in sunlight, optics etc. I had looked at the Marcum VS625SD camera when it first came out but didn't want to spend that much on a camera at the time. Before buying the fish tv7 I took another look at the Marcum and thought this is the one for me. It is a new model this year and there aren't a lot of reviews but all the ones I found were positive. I have read about the Sony camera that is on previous models of Marcum, Cabela's and Vexilar cameras. The reviews said good things about the Sony optics. The VS625SD (6 inch screen) has Sony’s New Super HAD II CCD optics which is the same as the VS825SD model (8inch screen). It also has an auto adjusting iris for bright or dark situations. You can also switch from colour to black and white. It has on-screen camera depth, temperature, camera direction, and battery status. It comes with 75ft of cable. Measurements can be converted to metric if desired. I would have preferred 100ft of cable but the 75ft will do me just fine. I believe Young_one has either this model(VS625SD)or the VS825SD. Tom.

I am in agreement with Randy and Terry on this. It is a British and American thing. I believe the spelling was changed around the same time that the spelling of colour and color, neighbour and neighbor, etc were changed. Tom.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Jackie and family. Tom.

Last week on Wednesday or Thursday there were a couple of people fishing about 75ft - 100ft from the dock. A friend of mine told me he was on the ice to talk to one of them. He said there was about 5 inches of ice. He also said an OPP officer went on the ice at that time to talk to the fishermen and check the ice thickness too. I wasn't there for the conversations but I was down there to see the fishermen on the ice and the snowmobiles running the bay, they were staying close to land and so were the fishermen. Still too early for me to go out there and get on the ice. I can wait until the breaker goes by and the ice refreezes. I don't like swimming in cold water. Tom.

Mercman, if you go to Computer Help you will see Irish's post about embedding. It is easy to follow and should solve your problem. If you are still having problems just tell us what you have done and we can try to figure out what step you are missing. Tom.

Copied from Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources website. Using your E-licence An E-licence becomes valid when it is carried with either: * an Outdoors Card containing the same 15-digit number as the E-licence OR * an Ontario Resident Temporary Fishing Licence and Outdoors Card and Application containing the same personal information as that under which the E-licence was obtained. When either of these conditions is met, the E-licence entitles the Ontario resident to fish (or hunt small game) during the open season according to the licence(s) purchased. The above might cause you problems if you don't have your new card by the time you want to go fishing and only have the printed E-Licence. Tom.

Never ever, ever clean the auger blade with your hands even if you have gloves on. I have seen too many people see ice or slush on their blade and not thinking, they reach down to wipe the slush off. People just don't realize how sharp these blades are until it is too late. Not all blood on the ice is from the fish. Tom

Looks like the "cheap" gas is arriving here too. Checked gas prices today and it went from 105.5 to approx 114.5 (overnight) Latest reasons for increase, you can take your pick: CBC Report "But the reason for the price jump isn't exactly clear" 1. "Some reports say a chilly European winter and low reserves are putting a drain on world supply." 2. "Others say the soaring price of wheat has pushed up the price of other commodities, such as gasoline." 3. "Roger McKnight, a petroleum analyst with En Pro International, said the price increase can be partly blamed on the world economy getting back on its feet. "So the speculators get involved and say [the improving economy is] going to increase demand on gasoline and that's why the price went up," World economy getting back on its feet.......... How did I miss that...When did that happen? Here we can survive in fairly good shape, an economic melt down and end up getting caught in the downfall almost as much as the countries that caused it. We are in such good shape that our Provincial government figures we can handle all the taxes and fee's that it can throw at us and then announce they don't know why our economy has floundered. Good or bad I guess we end up paying no matter what. You would think we would get use to it by now. Tom

Our prayers are with you and your family Wayne. Prayers and a positive mind set can go a long way in defeating this disease. Jennifer certainly has the right attitude. Tom

Thanks LD17 for the reply. The two optimum words in that last sentence seems to be "closely attended". I guess it is left up to the warden to decide how far closely attended actually is when he gives out the ticket. I wonder why they can be so clear and exact with the ice fishing regulations on distance but not soft water fishing? "You must be within 60 m (197 ft.) at all times of any line or tip-up you are using when ice fishing and you must have a clear and unobstructed view of the lines being used at all times." Tom.

While I was reading the thread by xkempx in which the rod was unattended and fell off the dock into the water a question popped into my head. In winter you are only allowed to be approx 60 meters (or somewhere there about) away from your fishing rod, stick or whatever. Is there such a regulation that covers the summertime and unattended fishing rods? If so then please point me in the right direction to read it. Tom.

The leafs do have something going here at the start of the season. There were a few times late in the game tonight when they were showing what did them in last year.... They had some great passes while having a man advantage on Avery's penalty but no shots on net. You can't score if you don't shoot, simple as that. It gave the Rangers time to re-group, tie the game and the leafs were running around in the mean time trying to keep up. If this is a trend, you will see the leafs take the usual slide. Passing looks great but goals look better. I certainly would not blame Toronto's goalie. The shot he stopped with his right pad saved the game for the leafs. I am looking forward to a great Leaf team this year. It is about time. Kind of early in the season to predict how good they will be though so lets wait until the new year. Tom. Canadiens fan all the way good or bad.

Don't worry Miller Photo, your going to have to ignore these replies. This is the way a lot of the posts have been going lately. If this thread continues it will be locked down too. It really is feeling like the Toronto "Zoo" fishing board, and that is sad. Tom.

A flea and a fly in a flue Were trapped so what could they do Let us flee said the fly Let us fly said the flea As they flew threw a flaw in the flue. Tom

I think a lot of you are missing the main point or you are just ignoring it. > A 53" muskie is an illegal fish on Georgian Bay and and must be released immediately. It is as simple as that. I can almost guarantee you that if you put a 53" muskie in your livewell and were transporting it to take a picture, then got stopped by the game warden and OPP on Georgian Bay near Severn Sound, you would be charged, no if and or buts. It doesn't matter how the fish was handled. It is an illegal fish .... bottom line and should not be in the livewell. This post is not meant to bash or rag on MoeMoe who caught a pair of very nice fish and should be proud. It is stating facts. Tom

I haven't been down there for a while but the last time I went out fishing, the water level wasn't too bad at all. If you park in the launch parking lot you are taking a chance of getting a ticket if you don't have a Midland residence sticker on the windshield of your vehicle. BayPort Marina use to and probably still does allow parking on their property for a fee. Go to the BayPort office and check it out. I have heard that later on in the season the checks for the Midland sticker on vehicles slows down but I wouldn't recommend taking the chance. I just might go down to the launch today and see what is happening. Tom. I forgot to mention .... the launch area on the right had a hole in the cement and if you drive over it your trailer will really bounce. There is plenty of room to steer around it. With any luck it might have been fixed.

Sorry. I went to edit my original post and ended up with a double post. Tom
