  1. Seems more novel than practical. The 2-person weighs more than a tent that will comfortably sleep two....and certainly doesn't seem to have much room. The 3-4 person is cool...but heavy, having to rely on trees or set up those huge poles they show in some of the pics....I don't know. I suppose if you are setting up at a not-too remote campsite and just want it for the "cool" factor....doesn't appeal to me though
  2. One day, there will be a "Limeyangler" signature series ice rod that has the bells pre-attached Nice haul there sir!
  3. Yep....plans to go fishing this weekend....cough, congestion and achiness setting in as of last night....only makes me want to get out there MORE
  4. I think your reports get better and better every time. NICE!!!!!
  5. WFN is free this month...in HD...on Rogers!! Just wish I had've checked for it before Dave's first show of the new season aired
  6. Great report and pics.....that is one of the reports I look forward to every year....gotta make an appearance again
  7. LOLOL sounds good...don't mind me if I count the footsteps then
  8. Good luck out there this Sunday, Ray....hope they are still on that spot for ya
  9. "After that....anmd I'll be set for pretty much everything". Feels so good to say that doesn't it Great pics....man I gotta get me some lakers this year!
  10. Musta been a SAIL store....no tax
  11. That is absolutely awesome. What a great way for that boy to grow up
  12. My condolences....hope his family is coping.
  13. Biggest cisco I pulled in was around the 20" mark...from a small stocked lake trout lake. Plenty of big ones in Nip too
  14. Having the sonar out there changes everything! Wait until your battery dies and you have to fish without it I got my first herring out of Nip this year....was all excited to eat it...only thing healthy about it were the worms squirming around inside it
  15. I have come up with a way to differentiate it in MY mind....because I too, don't count OOS fish as PB's. I will have a category for "the biggest ___ I ever reeled in" for the OOS/charter boat/incidentals, and my PB's will be the ones I truly went out to catch that day.
  16. Awwwwww yeeeeaahhhhhh!!!!! Well done sir! Gorgeous fish....no glove, no love!
  17. So the secret to fishing is a smart phone....nice!
  18. Not too shabby at all! Too bad about the first place....but nice to see you made the most of it and were rewarded with some nice fish
  19. Definitely want to catch some bass on jigs this year....took a break from bass and really got back into it last season...looking forward to dunking in the thick stuff
  20. Super slick there, Solo...can't wait to see the first report
  21. One of these days we'll get a winter weekend in Minden...kills me that the cottage gets boarded up and untouched until Spring
  22. Well the kijiji ad for an icefishing bungalow business in NorthBay happens to have the same phone number as Snofari.... Good report...as others have said, having the bungalow in a poor location doesn't make sense. Great example of how attitude makes or breaks a trip.
  23. I really enjoyed watching the weigh-in....haven't watched one since wayyy back in the days when I could watch Ray Scott do it on TNN. Dave was great! And I thought the standing O for Kevin Wirth was super classy
  24. Ouch...at least you didn't come away empty handed. Is it set up so that people have to fish in a pre-determined area, or do they have free roam? Electronics allowed?
  25. Dang! Beautiful stuff there I was trying out your technique of cranking up 30 feet after jigging on bottom for a bit. Couldn't believe it when I was ready to give up and drop back down again, two fish streaked off bottom to have a look. They didn't hit, mind you, but, certainly opened my eyes a little to how these Simcoe lakers work. When they charge up....do you move the bait at all?
