Ice road fishing is pretty fun.....good if you have a depth chart....but really not hard to pick out the obvious drop-offs around shoal markers and points. I did the same thing...access road in....turned "right" on the lake. Park well off to the side, then go roaming....and don't drill holes on the ice road

A skunking is never good news...but at least you're out there enjoying it. I don't know much about Diabetes, but I do know you have the right attitude to deal with whatever curveballs come your way

I like'em....nice fluttering action. The wife came up with a handy technique that works well in shallow water....she swings them side to side....just pulls the line from one side of the hole to the other....whatever it does to the spoon seems to get the fish on it pretty quick

From the sounds of it, the majority of the people that don't know them treat the area like crap...good way to make someone miserable

If I were you, I'd have a backup plan....pick a couple smaller lakes in the area, and if Lady M is a no-go, you have somewhere else to go. Although....someone I know on facebook was posting pics and even though he isn't saying it, he very well may have been on Muskoka last week.

I was on Little Lake last week....Dec. 29th. Walked out from Duckworth popping holes as I went....small group of guys pulled up as I was heading out....they joined me....we were definitely the first ones to go out based on any tracks. Must have encouraged someone to get a bit crazy because a snowmobile took a quick zip out from the trailer park....never went far though and headed back in. After all that rain, then snow....I've no clue what it's currently like
